Study on combined treatment of TCM in ischemic stroke Postgraduate:Chen danghong Advisor: pro.huang peixin pro.liang weixiong pro.huang yan pro.luo xiaodong1 . Apoplexy is a frequent cerebrovascular disease in China, in which ischemic stroke is about 70% of Apoplexy. The pathogeny and pathogenesis of ischemic stroke in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) include "weak^ fire^ windN qk wood^ phlegm > yu" , the most importment complications is "weak" and "yu" .2. Reviews Ischemic stroke of the TCM theory of pathogeny and pathogenesis of the clinical application of combined treatment.Therapy about Apoplxy has been frequently researched, in recent years, combined treatment about it is growing constantly, many doctors pay much attention to it, on the ground of reviewing apoplexy study in old year and select qi xu xue yu syndrome acute ischamic stroke as study objection, under the guidance of "Criterion of diagnosis and treatment of ischemic stroke" ,the combined treatments of TCM were performed on these patients and clinical efficacy was evaluated by using randomized controlled trial.3. Combined treatments include Chinese Traditional multiple therpy> western medicine multiple therpyN Chinese Traditional and western medicine multiple therpy. The technique of study combined treatment gradual criterion.but there are some questions existing as welU4. Retrospects of formerly ChineseTraditional Combined treatment of the department of stroke. There was 248 cases acute ischemic stroke between 1992 and 1994, and 609 cases between 1995 and 1999, and 72 cases "Feng-tan-yuxue-bizumailuo syndrome" acute ischemic stroke between 1999 and 2000, Combined treatment methods include combined treatment of integrated Chinese Traditional Medicine and nonmedicine treatmentmethods.the result indicating that combined treatment is excelled. But the combined treatmentthere is not all excellent in every observing phase. It serves study deeply. 4. Randomized controlled trial of the Chinese combined treatment on 60 cases with acute ischemic stroke patients.60 patients diagnosed as "qi xu xue yu syndrome" acute ischemic stroke from March lst,2000 to Dec 31th,2001as study objections, at the ratio of 1:1,randomly divided into combined treatment group(n=30)and controlled group(n=30).Under the guidance of the "Criterion" ,Two groups were treated with specific Chinese medcine targeting the corresponding syndrome, combined treatment group added intracascular laser irradiation on blood(ILIB), Nerve & muscle therapy and rehabilitating training except specific Chinese medcine. There were no significant differences between the two groups in sex, age, past history integral, complication disease integral, principal TCM symptom, neurological deficit scores and injure degree (P>0.05) .The result of the study showed that TCM syndrome integral, neurological deficit scores and injure degree of the two groups were all declined, however, combined treatment group is more significant than controlled group (PO.05) .Its superior has been obvious in early period of combined treatment, and its curative effect also superior to controlled group in the long period, but the combined treatmentthere is not all excellent in every observing phase. It suggests that we should do combined treatments early, and carry it through all the treatment period. Study also finds that "qi xu syndrome" is compactness with nerve defict integral .The more qi xu syndrome score, the more nerve defict integral, the lower daily living capacity. Along with qi xu syndrome improved, nerve defict integral and daily living capcity also are improved. It indicates that qi xu is very important in the happening and development of strokejt also indicates that we should adequate increase supply qi power.
