AbstractFMMU albino guinea-pigs is a new closed colony strain bred by Laboratory Animal Services Center of The First Military Medical University. In order to study its immunological features, the fundmental immunological indexes were measured, and we initially discuss the relation between immunological features of FMMU albino guinea-pigs and its susceptibility to pathogen by establishing three animal models of human disease. The main results are as follows:I.The phagocytic activity of celiac macrophag?and polymorphonuclear neutrophil in peripheral venous blood in FMMU albino guinea-pigs are all significantly lower than that in pigment ones.2.The serum content of immunoglobulin (IgG, IgA, 1gM), complement 3 (C3), complement 4 (C4) and 50% hemolyt.ic unit of complemet in FMMU albino guinea-pigs are all significantly lower than that in pigment ones.3.There is no significant difference in the values of E resette-forming cells, EAC rosette-forming cells, plaque-forn3ig cells of B lymphocytes, T lymphocyte transformation rate in vitro, RBC-C3bR rosette-forming rate between FMMIJ albino guinea-pigs and pigment ones, but all the above indexes obtained in FMMU albino guinea-pigs are lower than that in pigment ones.4.In comparison with pigment guinea-pigs, FMMU albino guinea-pigs are more susceptible to infections with human Eperythrozoon and I3urkholderiapseudomaflei.5.None of the two strains of guinea-pigs are susceptible to infections with Encephalitozoon cuniculi. In brief, closed colony FMMU albino guinea-pigs has its unique immunological features, its immunological functions are weaker than that of pigment ones as a whole, and it is more susceptible to infections withpathogen in comparison with pigment ones so that it can be used better in-3-respect of being made of animal model of infective disease.
