The Experimental Study On The Relationship Between Endocrine Disturbance And Periodontitis

Objective: Evaluate the effect of endocrine disturbance on occunence and development of periodontitis; Widen the knowledge of periodontitis pathogensis and provid dentists vith theoretical basis. Method: 1.Twenty male SD rats are divided randomly into two gro control and hormone group. Cortisone acetate is injected into the rats in hormone group.Cortisol ACTH(adrenocoriicotropic hormone) T(testostemne) and T4(te1ra-ioso-ffiy nine) are tested on the 4th experimental week. 2.Sixty-four SD male rats are divided randomly into four groups(contol,simple ligation, simple hormone,hoimone and ligation).Histologic changes of peiiodontium are observed on the 4th, 6th, 8th, 10th week during the experiment Observed index: 1 .Hormone concentration: concentration of Cortisol ACTH T and T4 on the 4th experimental week. 2.occuntnce of peiiodontitis: (Dobservation by naked-eye: occurrence of periodontitis; statistical analysis of PD(peiiodontal deep) value. )observation by X-ray photograph: absorption of alveolar bone; statistical analysis of height of meisal alveolar bone. bservation by histologic slice: histologic changes of periodoniium on the H.E stained slices; statistical analysis of amount of osteoclasts.﹐bservation by ETM(eleclron microscope): ultrastmctural changes of gingival epithelium,fibroblast on the periodontal membrane, osteoblasts osteoclasts and osteocytes of alveolar bone. Results: I .Cortisol concentration increased notably while ACTH and T concentration decreased notably.
