OBJECTIVE:To probe into synergetic effect and mechanism of Sijunzi decoction (sjzt) and Fluconazole (flcz) in treating infected mice with deep-seated candidiasis. METHODS: to compare the survival rates, mean survival period, Candida growth in kidney, titer of Nitrogen Monoxide (NO) and TNF- in different treatments with sjzt+flcz or without sjzt+flcz. RESULTS: Joint application of sjzt and flcz is a more effective treatment. CONCLUSION: The results suggest that there is a synergetic effect between sjzt and flcz in treating infected mice with deep-seated candidasis, and its effect may relate to the effect of sjzt to lower the amounts of phlogistic mediums.
