| Objective To evaluate the Preventive and theraptic effects of potassium channel opener pinacidil on hypoxic pulmonary bypertension(HPH). Method 45 Male wistar rats were divided into there groups on randomized controlled trail. (1) room-air control. (2) hypoxic group (3): hypoxia with abdomen injection of pinacidil (3mg.kg-1day-1) before hypoxia .hypoxic and therapy groups continued hypoxic(10%+0.5%) eight hours every day for four weeks. Mean pulmonary arterial pressure(mPAP) and right ventricle/left ventricle plus septal (Rv/Lv+S) were examined, the ratio of the thickness of pulmonary arteriolar to external diameter of pulmonary arterioles(MT%)and the ratio of the wall area of pulmonary arteriolar to total area of pulmonary artetiors(MA%) were also observed.
