Experimental Study on the Effect of Acupuncture at the Different Points on Serum FSH, LH, E2 and T Levels in Female RhesusMajor:Acupuncture&Moxibustion,Massage Postgraduate: An xiaoying Tutor: Associate prof .Li pei Prof. Wu BinghuangABSTRACTPurpose: In the present study, the effect of acupuncture at the different points on peripheral serum follicle stimulating hormone(FSH), Luteinizing hormone (LH), extradiol(E2) and testosterone(T) levels in female rhesus was assessed.Methods: According to 2X2 factorial design, 9 health female rhesuses were randomly divided into normal control group(3 rhesuses),none-point control group(2 rhesuses), body point group(l rhesus), auricular point group(l rhesus) and both body and auricular point group(2 rhesuses). The effect of acupuncture at Shimen(RN5), Sanyinjiao(SP6) and auricular " G4" region on peripheral serum FSH, LH, E2 and T levels was observed respectively. The peripheral serum FSH & LH levels were estimated by invtrion bioassay and E2 & T by immunoassay.Results: (1) The points selected had inhibitory effect on serum FSH,LH,E2andT, while none points did not have such effect. (2) The peak ascending velocity (PAV) and peak increasing value(PIV) of FSH,LH,E2 and T was lower in the three point groups than that in the two control groups (P<0.05). (3) Among the three point groups, the both body and auricular point group obtained the greatest inhibitory effect on the PAV andPIV of FSH,LH and T, and on the PIV of E2. The body point group followed;The body point group got the greatest inhibitory effect on the PAV of E2, the both body and auricular point group followed.Conclusion: (l)both auricular point and body points in the experiment had inhibitory effect on serum FSH,LH,E2 and T levels in female rhesuses .(2) The inhibitory effect of body points was larger than that of auricular point. None points did not have inhibitory effect . (3)Selecting the body points and auricular point at the same time could strengthen the inhibitory effect. (4)Point function was inquired into in this study, Certain basis of experimental was also provided for the application of acupuncture in conception.
