An F2 population was generated from Gushi (G) chicken and Anka (A) broilers was used to scan the chicken genome to get information of the economic traits. Based on the phenotype database of the F2 population, forty four microsatellite markers were selected on chromosome 1, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13 space interval 15~20cM from the consensus map 2000 of the three resource populations. The software cervus2.0 was used to calculated gene frequency, heterozygosity and polymorphism information content. All the QTL were detected through the QTL express software on line. Significance thresholds of the F2 statistic were derived at the chromosome by the permutation test, two significance levels were used: 5%, and 1% genome-wise. An approximate 95% confidence interval for the localization of each of the significant QTL was obtained using the bootstrap technique with a total of 1000 sample. The results showed that:Average heterozygosity, and average polymorphism information content of most markers were higher than 0.5, indicating perfect polymorphism and supplying liable base for molecular research on the population.QTL for different traits were found on each chromosome. Twenty-seven QTL were detected on chromosome 1 about growth traits, carcass traits and serum parameters; twenty-three QTL were detected on the chromosome 8 including growth traits, carcass traits, meat quality and serum parameter; only seven QTL on growth traits and carcass traits were located on chromosome 9; eighteen QTL on all the four kinds economic traits were detected on chromosome 10; sixteen QTL were detected on chromosome 11 including seven growth traits, seven carcass traits and two serum parameter; eleven QTL were located on chromosome 13, including six growth traits, one carcass trait and four meat quality traits. Most QTL explain smaller variance and with larger confidence interval. The variance explained by some QTL exceed 10% and the confidence interval was less than 30cM. so it need to be proved by increasing the number of markers or to be verified in other populations. The reason why the QTL detected in the research were different from other reports maybe owing to the limition of the QTL research or because these QTL unknown and were detected for the fist time .Analysisd with the QTL for the chicken important ecnomoic traits and further know more about the genetic moclecular foundation of the quanatiative traits, which is benefit for researching function gene and applying the markers in the breeding.
