Sugar beet pulp (SBP) is the byproduct of sugar industry. Heilongjiang province has a huge output of SBP. Sugar beet pulp (SBP) with high nutrition is great valuable feedingstuff resource ; while it is seldom used reasonably in ruminant animal production. The method of feeding and storage is absurd. Making SBP into silage is a reasonable and convenient way to deal with it , as a result that SBP have a short production cycle. .In this assay, four experiment are designed to reach how Sugar beet pulp silage (SBPS) is used theoretical and technical in dairy cattle production, in order to promote the dairy cattle production and better utilize of SBP.Experiment 1 Common nutrition value of SBPS dertermined by CNCPSThe CNCPS results showed that the average CP content was 13.15% in protein fractions. Based on the protein degradation rate, PA, PB2 and PB3 which contents were 32.55%DM,27.15%DM and 29.05%DM, constituted the protein fraction. The protein of SBPS degraded flat. The high levels of PA, PB1 and PB2 indicated high levels of RDP in the SBPS. The low PC content in the protein components indicated that the level of non-utilized protein was low in the protein fraction and the utilization of protein was high.Carbohydrate (CHO) contented 77.29%DM, was the major component of SBPS. NFC(Sugar, starch and pectin) content reached 31.04% DM. NFC(contented 24.83% DM)was mainly in the form of CB1,in which Sugar content was 3.01%DM , pectin content attained 21.82%DM.. CB content was 39.57% DM, that showed the high content of available fiber in SBPS. The low CC content in the CHO component indicated that rumen undegradable Carbohydrate had a low content and SBPS have a a high rate of carbohydrates profit.Sugar beet pulp silage (SBPS) had high levels of energy。NEl of SBPS was 1.72mCal/kg DM .Rumen energy- nitrogen ratio(REND) was imbalance in Rumen , and per 1kg of SBPS DM should be added 47.4g RDP. The most simple and economical way was to add the appropriate amount of urea. SBPS contained less calcium and more phosphate, so this suggested that diets with SBPS with added phosphorus and vitamin A, DExperiment 2 Overall Evaluation of Fermentation Quality of SBPSThe sensory characteristics and fermentation quality of the SBPS were evaluated after ensiling by Silage quality.scoring system of Ministry of Agriculture. Proved by the assessment of organic acids, high lactic acid content (48.5%TA) and low butyric acid (2.92%TA) content indicated the dominant lactic acid bacteria fermentation in the fermentation process. The medium score of Ammonia / Nitrogen indicated that the protein had not been a lot of decomposition in the fermentation process. In the sensory evaluation, SBPS had strong smell of acid , soft texture, low pH(3.85). In summary, the silage quality of SBPS was excellent. SBPS was a easily produced, nutrient-rich, soft and aromatic, good palatability, high quality feed that dairy cows liked to eat, and SBPS should be promoted, despite the loss of DM, and imperfect silage quality. This advised to add preservatives to improve silage quality and aerobic stability of SBPS, in the silage making processExperiment 3 Fermentation characteristic in vitroTest three designed digestion and metabolism in vitro test with in vitro fermentation device. The fermentation substrate was 0.6g roughage(SBPS and corn straw), the roughage composition ratio separated five mixture group by SBPS and corn straw, the ratio range was that 0:100(SC0),15:85(SC15),25:75(SC25),35:65(SC35) and 45:55(SC45). Recorded the gas production, NH3-N generation and VFA generation during 48 hours, and made a comprehensive assessment by multiple-factors associative effect index (MFAEI) to estimate the best mixture proportion. The test results showed that 35:65 was the best combination between SBPS and corn straw.Experiment 4 Production performance and digestion testThis experiment used Single-factor randomized design. The leaves of SBPS in ration were 10kg/cow.d (groupⅠ),20 kg/cow.d(groupⅡ),25 kg/cow.d(groupⅢ)which compared with control group. Measure the milk yield, milk composition content and apparent digestibility at same time. The results showed that 20 kg / cow.d SBPS (dry matter 3.6/d.cow) was suitable leave for the milk cows to add to ration based on production performance and nutrient digestibility results...
