Fujian tabacco variety CB-1, which was characteristics faint scent type, was used as material in experiment. The effect of planting density,nitrogen rate, numbers of leaves remained and the proportion of base fertilizer on growth and development, the law of accumulation in chemical and economic characters in tabacco were studied. In order to study the effect on yield and quality in tabacco,and find out the best cultivated combination to improve the quality of tabacco CB-1. The results were showed as follow:1. The content of dry matter accumulation at different parts and different stages in CB-1were increased with the tabacco development. The content of dry matter accumulation had difference at each part due to different treatment ,which was composed of density, nitrogen rate, numbers of leaves remained, base fertilizer. The content of dry matter in each part after transplanting 40d~70d was ranked as follow: middle leaf>upper leaf>lower leaf. All the elements had little effect on agronomic character in tabacco at early growth stage. In spherical plant stage, the effect of all the cultivated element on tabacco was improved. In vegetation period, the treatment composed of high nitrogen rate and lower proportion of basic fertilizer had more excellent agronomic performance than other treatment.The high stalk height was in high density treatment, but the leaf area was decreased significantly.2. Nicotine and total sugar content of CB-1 at each part in different stage,were increased with development,and the content of nitrogen was decreased with development.3. After baking, with the parts of tobaccos raised, the content of nicotine was increased, the content of total sugar was decreased, the content of total nitrogen was increased, the content of reducing sugar was decreased, the content of chlorine was increased. The content of K in C3F to baccos leaf was more than X2F tobaccos leaf in all treatment except T5,T6,T7,T8,T9. the content of K in the other leaf was decreased with the parts of tabacco raised. The content of polyphenolic compounds of tobaccos leaf in all treatment was increased as the part of tobaccos raising. The content of petroleum ether extraction was maximum in upper leaf, minimun in middle leaf.4. The different level of each treatment had great effect on yield and economical character in CB-1. The results were showed that the treatment which was composed of the density was 1200 stalk/667m2, nitrogen rate was 6.5㎏/667m2, numbers of leaves remained was 16 each stalk,proportion of base fertilizer was 80%, had more excellent in yield, production value,average price, the proportion of high class leaf than other combinations. So that is best element of cultivated combination for CB-1.
