The character of ginsenoside Rb1 is one of the main 20(S)-protopanaxadiol group saponins of ginseng (panax ginseng C.A.Meyer) , the formula structure is C54H92O23,the molecular weight is 1109.29. in this study,it has various Pharmacological activity to increase intelligence, anti-senile dementia,improve sexual function,enhance the effectiveness of rabies vaccine,anti-myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury,anti-cerebral ischemia,promote regeneration of peripheral nerve cells.HPLC method has been developed for the determination of Ginsenoside Rb1 in the various biological specimen. In this paper, after raperitoneal injection of Rb1 (80mg/kg) to mouse,taking supernatant after make blood Precipitation and High-speed centrifugation and taking extract liquor of tissue homogenate with equivoluminal Water-saturated n-butanol, the distribution studies of ginsenoside Rb1 in plasma,heart,liver,spleen,lung,kidney,brain of mouse were performed.After preprocessing, they were separated on a C18 column and the mobile phase consisted of acetonitrile/H2O (28:72). flowing velocity is 1.00 ml/min.The distribution of ginsenoside Rb1 in mouse was rapid.At 0.5 hour, the concentrations of Rb1 in plasma and tissue after raperitoneal injection of Rb1 (80mg/kg) to mouse were the highest,it gradually decline.after 6 hour, it disappeared. in plasma,heart,liver,lung and kidney relatively high,the Rb1 levels in the brain and spleen were extremely low.
