Using tall fescue plants with foreign DREBIA gene those were got by gene gun transformation method and their filial generation as material, several kinds of stress experiments were carried out and some high adverse resistance plants were obtained at last. Those works provide a basis for breeding multi-resistant tall fescue variety. Firstly, using transgenic tall fescue plants as material, the experiment was carried out under hydroponic culture conditions. Six indexes were measured which were the content and distribution of lead, the withering rate, the index of root tolerance, the translocation rate, bioaccumulation factor and translocation factor. The results showed that the growth conditions of the transgenic tall fescue were better than non-transgenic plants at the same condition and it was the same with the enrichment ability and the transport capacity. The transgenic tall fescue can be used for remediation of Pb contaminated soil which lead concentration is lower than 500 mg/L. Secondly, seeds were gained by self-cross of transgenic tall fescue plants. Through seed germination experiment of the first filial generation of transgenic tall fescue under hygromycin stress, the selection hygromycin concentration of 80mg/L had been defined for screening resistant plants, and 258 resistant plants were obtained. Through DNA extraction and PCR analysis,173 first generation transgenic plants were obtained. Then partial first generation transgenic plants were treated with drought and cold stress. The physiological indexes showed that, the first generation transgenic plants have higher drought and cold resistance than that of the control. By observing the growth condition of transgenic plants in field, the green period, the scorch phase, diseases and insect pests and growth rate were recorded and determined. The results show that the transgenic plants'cold resistance is stronger by having longer green period and faster growth rate than that of the control. All results show that the DREBIA foreign gene could steady heredity in tall fescue plants.
