Analysis On Greening Characteristics In New Countryside Construction In Beijing

Correct analysis on greening characterstics of rural area makes sense both to determine rational way of rural greening of new countryside and to construct high-benefit village greening. In this study, combined sampling, consisting of stratified sampling, random and typical points distribution, was used to investigate 10 far-away villages of Beijing, China. Totally,52 typical villages were chosen to study. Through literature and site investigation of rural greening, the result showed that total greening area rate of far-away villages of Beijing was high, when tree species that appeared in greening was rich. However, apparent difference exited between urban and village areas. On the other hand, result concerning greening requirement got through questionare revealed that less residents felt satisfied with both aesthetics level and area of greening. Thus, total greening area of new countryside of Beijing was large, but its distribution met little uniformity. Additionally, the main charactistic of greening of new countryside of Beijing could be concluded that most greening projects were found in urban and plain area, and their greening qualities were both high, when less or no greening projects appeared in village and mountain area respectively, and both of them showed low qualities. At the same time, by statistical analysis on requirement and trend of economy development of 10 far-away villages of Beijing, greening functions could be defined as health-leisure, help industry development, environment protection, tourism and recreation, promoting the culture, greening aesthetics, and ecological conservation.Based on the research result, in order to meet principles of low cost, high benefit, and resident requirement, it was suggested that in proceeding of new countryside greening construction local social, economical, and cultural characteristics and development treands should be analysed precisely, depending on which to choose proper greening way, at the same time to choose local tree species or species that can be managed easily.
