During 2008~2009, the study was conducted in the trial field of Heilongjiang BaYi Agricultural University soybean research station which lies in Lin Dian County. The soil type is meadow. Taking K4 (soybean Kennong 4) and H50 (soybean Hefeng 50) as the experimental materials, selecting the plant growth regulator DTA-6, GA3, and DTA-6+GA3 with seed dressing, using pot and plot combination to study in a single regulator and compound regulator control on nitrogen-fixing ability of soybean growth and yield quality. To provide a scientific basis for plant growth regulator of the further promotion and application.The main research results and conclusions as follows:The treatment of regulator DTA-6 effectively promoted the growth and development of soybean,in the two cultivars of K4 and H50 ,as well as increased the dry matter accumulation of every part. The treatment of regulators GA3 inhibited the growth of main root length on the two cultivars, and inhibited the dry matter accumulation of lateral root length and petiole of the H50 soybean; GA3 promoted the other forms index such as volume of root, plant height, stem diameter, and other parts of the dry matter accumulation.The treatment of mixed Regulator DTA-6+GA3 had some inhibitory effect on the main root length of the H50 and K4,and inhibited the lateral root length of the H50 cultivars, but GA3 can promote dry matter accumulation of other morphological indicators.The three plant growth regulators improved the activity of GS of the two varieties of soybean root nodule;and the regulation of the activity of GDH was not significant; the three kinds of regulators promoted the activity of GOGAT.The three kinds of plant growth regulators improved the vitality of root of the two varieties of soybean. Regulators played role in the content of the soluble protein in the roots of K4 and H50 soybean, and had shown inhibition at early and later for the promotion, and the effect was remarkable compared to the control. The three plant growth regulators can increase the activity of proteolytic in roots of the two soybean varieties.The three regulators increased the activity of NR of the soybean K4 from R1 to R3, in the R5 , the regulators GA3 can still improve the activity of NR of K4, while the treatment of DTA-6 processing and mixed regulator DTA-6+GA3 on the improvement of the activity of NR showed a certain extent. Compound regulator DTA-6+GA3 treatment increased the activity of NR of soybean H50 at various growth stages.The treatment of the three kinds of regulators increased the content of free amino acid of soybean leaves with different levels.The treatments of regulator DTA-6 and mixed regulator DTA-6+GA3 increased the content of the total nitrogen in soybean leaves of K4,the three plant growth regulators increased the content of the total nitrogen in soybean leaves of H50, and the regulator DTA-6+GA3 showed the most significant effect.The three kinds of regulators can effectively improve the content of the hydantoin in different parts of the soybean.The three kinds of regulators can promote the yield of two soybean varieties, compound regulator DTA-6+GA3 showed more significant effect in the regulation, it can reach 9% more than CK. The three types of regulators have increased the content of protein of soybean H50, the treatments of GA3 and mixedd regulator DTA-6+GA3 increased the content of fat of H50 compared to the comparison it can improve 0.3%.
