A kind of water-saving irrigation equipment that is called as punched drip irrigation tubing was studied and designed in this paper. The experimental pipes were PE plastic tubings. The diameter of experimental PE tubings is 16mm, the wall thickness is 1.5mm and the maximal bursting pressure is 0.25MPa. Firstly,Small tube sets which's length is 15mm,30mm and 50mm were used to reduce energy. There were three PE tubings. Each has a single hole with diameter of 0.5mm,0.7mm and 0.9mm and orifice spacing of 0.33m. Under120kPa,100kPa,80kPa,60kPa,50kPa work pressure, the flow of these three tubings were studied in this paper.By the 20% principle of orifice flow, whether the experimental data is reasonable was judged, and the flow - pressure equation (q=k×hx)was regressed. Comparing k and x, the way of reducing energy was the best when the length of small tube set was 15mm. After analyzing manufacture deviation of thin-wall orifice, it was feasible. By analyzing flow of orifice, including orifice type, head loss calculation and the relationship between head loss and differential pressure of inlet and end. Values of head loss and differential pressure of inlet and end were the same. After analyzing main performance indexes of thin-wall orifice, they satisfied requirement of drippers.Based on the experiment of short tube and experimental data processing, the same experiment of long tube was did, including measuring the flow, taking average in three times, analyzing data and eliminating suspicious data. Then irrigation evenness of long tube was analyzed and hydraulic calculation was did, including design work rate of deviation, maximum number of the orifice and calculation of the maximum design length. Then, according to the different crops, the flow was calculated in interpolation method. Finally, irrigation system of the thin-walled orifice was designed.Through this kind of thin-walled orifice of the flow measurement and data processing, feasibility of the thin-wall orifice was proved, and was applied in HanJiang PuTian modern ecological agriculture base.
