Cadmium had been regarded as a food contamination,only inferior to the aflatoxin and arsenic.The application of cadmium in the modernized industy was widespread day by day.Now too much exhaust of factory waste materials has intensified the pollution to the environment.Cadmium mainly resulted from surrounding in animal source food.There were few reports about animal histopathological change and blood parameter as well as residual reference associating with cadmium,on these grounds,this text put following correlation test into practice.In the acute toxicity experiment,the mice were affected with feeding a dose of Cadmium.The half lethal dose(LD50) was 91.20mg/kg per body weight and the confidence interval 60.25~136.89mg/kg of 95%by Karber method.The results showed that Cadmium had high toxic response.In the accumulative toxicity experiment,the mice were affected with feeding a fixed dose of Cadmium(1/10 LDS0,1/5 LD50,1/3 LD50).Accumulative Cd poision was Cd 0 mg/kg(control group,Ⅰ),Cd 9.12 mg/kg(low dose groupⅡ),Cd 18.24mg/kg (middle dose groupⅢ) and Cd 31.36 mg/kg(high dose groupⅣ) for 4 weeks.The result showed that the body weight was lower in dose groupsⅢandⅣthan in control group(P<0.01).Clinical symptom::the mice in dose groupsⅢandⅣhad appeared poor in spirit successively,Lacking expression,disliking sport,the appetite decreasing and getting thin hairs.At 3 weeks,two mice in dose groupⅣdied.Gross examination,the liver,kidney and spleen of the mice in dose groupsⅢandⅣappeared lesions. Hepatocytes and renaltubular epithelium showed granular and vacuole degeneration.The red pulp of Spleen gored,and the white pulp reduced.The serum CK activity was lower in dose groups than in control group(P<0.05).The serum CRE activity was lower in dose groupsⅣthan in groupsⅠandⅡ(P<0.05).Compared with the control group,the number of RBC,WBC and LYM in dose groups has increased(P>0.05).The number of PCT was higher in dose groups than in control group(P<0.01).The content of HGB was lower in dose groups than in control group(P>0.05).The serum AST,ALT,BUN and ALP activities were higher in dose groups than in control group.The residue of cadmium in liver,kidney,heart,meet and bone had significant among these groups(P<0.05 or P<0.01),especially the residue in liver and kidney had the most significant. Pathologically,the lesion appeared in dose groupsⅢandⅣwhen compared with control group,the hepatocytes and renaltubular epithelium were degenerate and the spleen gored.The accumulative toxicity test of Cadmium in mice showed that the cadmium residue in liver and kidney was not higher than the national standard,but the growth performance and enzyme activities have been affected.Pathologically,lesions appeared in liver,kidney and spleen.It should be harmful to human health if taking the food.
