This experiment was designed to analyse the nutrient components and some safety indexes of DDGS from different sources in China, and assessed these DDGS nutritional value on adult cockerel. In experiment 1, we anlysed the color (L*,a*,b*), bulk density, water solubles content and conventional nutritive components of 17 DDGS(A– Q) from different sources in China, anlysed the amino acids of 8 DDGS among them and determined the aflatoxin B1 and melamine in 10 DDGS (A,B,C,E,F,G,H,L,O,Q) among them. Results: About the color of these DDGS, L* rang from 33.32 to 44.34, a* rang from 6.08 to 10.43, b* rang from 7.45 to 15.42, respecctively. The bulk density rang from 345 to 545 g/L. The average water solubles content is 26.17%.The average content of GE, CP, EE, NDF, Ca, total phosphorus (TP) and non-phytate phosphorus (NPP) are 19.07 MJ/kg,27.85%,9.06%,42.20%,12.81%,0.07%,0.64%和0.56% respectively. The variation in color (L*, b*), bulk density, water solubles content, GE, CP, EE, NDF, Ca, TP, NPP within plants(A and B,C and D,H and I) lower than between different plants (A - Q). The EE content of A,B,C,D,F,P and Q is less than 6%. The contents of 11 essential amino acid of DDGS are lower than soybean meal, approximately 3 times of corn. Tryptophan, lysine and arginine are the limiting amino acid of DDGS. The DDGS water solubles content positive correlated with TP and NPP. The DDGS aflatoxin B1 is 2.33~22.45μg/kg and the melamine was not detected by High Performance Liquid Chromatography in the DDGS. There is higher variability in physical properties and nutrient level of DDGS from different raw material and different ies. The 10 DDGS in this experiment are safety for feedstuffs. In experiment 2, 45 Hyline brown adult roosters, average body weight 2.6±0.2 kg, were randomly allocatted into 9 groups with 5 replicates per treatment, A 2×9 Youden Square design was carried out for two periods metabolism experiment to determine the ME of 8 DDGS from different sources in China by starvation method. Results: the range of the 8 DDGS AME is 8.06-11.03 MJ/kg, among them, the TME of C is lowest and G is highest, they are 9.76 MJ/kg and 12.73 MJ/kg respectively. The AME, TME and apparent energy efficiency of G is significantly higher than other 7 DDGS (P < 0.05), and the three indexes of C significantly lower than A, E, F, G, H (P < 0.05). about A and B, C and D, there is no remarkable difference in AME, TME, apparent energy efficiency and true energy efficiency (P > 0.05). about the AME and TME of A, C, E, F, G, there are remarkable different between them. The apparent digestibilty of GE, CP, EE and DM are in high correlation with TME. The results indicates that the variation of DDGS energy efficiency on poultry in a plant but different batches is lower than different plants. The DDGS TME on poultry can be estimated by determining their CP and EE.In experiment 3, 45 Hyline brown adult roosters, average body weight 2.6±0.2 kg, were randomly allocatted into 9 groups with 5 replicates per treatment, A 2×9 Youden Square design was carried out for two periods metabolism experiment to determine the AAAD and TAAD of 8 DDGS from different sources in China by N-free diet methods. Results: the range of the 8 DDGS total amino acids apparent digestibility and true digestibility is 60.18% - 74.06% and 74.13% - 89.15%, the lysine apparent digestibility is lower than 60% and true digestibility is from 63.08% to 82.07%. The total amino acids and lysine apparent digestibility and true digestibility of G significantly higher than A, B, C, D, F and H (P < 0.05). Some amino acids (serine, arginine, threonine, valine, cystine, isoleucine and tyrosine) apparent digestibility and true digestibility of A and B, C and D are not remarkable different.. Histidine, leucine and methionine and phenylalanine true digestibility of Corn+brown rice DDGS (A and B) is lower than corn DDGS (C and D). There is high positive correlation between water solubles content and lysine true digestibility (R2 = 0.7601). Most of essential amino acids true digestibility of DDGS lower than soybean meal and some essential amino acids true digestibility of DDGS lower than corn.. The results indicate that there are variations of amino acids digestibility between DDGS from different sources. Lysine true digestibility of DDGS on poultry can be estimated by determining their water solubles content.
