This experiment was carried out to study the effect of different energy and protein on growth and laying performance for laying quails.This experiment was using two factors randomized block and was designed based on 3 ME and 2 CP levels in the brood and finishing period (3×2). In the brood period, the ME is 11.7,12.2,12.7MJ/kg,the CP is 22.0,24.0%,in finishing period,the ME is 11.4,11.9,12.4 MJ/kg,the CP is 18.0,22.0%, 480 healty quails was allocate to 6 treatments of 4 relicates.Each treatments and relicate has 80 and 20 quails In the trial period,record production performance,detemination the weight of the brood and finishing period,diet conversion,the eggs quality, nutrient retention.The results showed:①in the brood period, ME and CP all had significant influence on growth.The weight,gain,daily gain,the low ME group was significantly higher than that of middle and high ME group(P<0.05).The group of high CP was significantly higher than low CP(P<0.05). In the finshing period, CP had significant influence on growth. Gain(0~39), The group of low CP was significantly higher than high CP(P<0.05).In laying period, there was interaction of ME and CP(P<0.05)on gain of 39-223 days.The gain of group 2 was lowest cf all,and the growth was the best.②The quails laying performance showed, ME and CP all had no significant influence(P>0.05).The group 2cf low ME and high CP diet was the best.③The 11 week-old egg quality showed:egg size and eggshell relative weight, there was interaction of ME and CP(P<0.05). Egge specific gravity,eggshell weight,eggshell relative weight,the The group of low and middle ME was significantly higher than the group of high ME(P<0.05).Egg weight,egg size,the group of high CP was significantly higher than the group of low CP(P<0.05). The 26 week-old egg quality showed: egg weight,eggshell thickness, the group of low and middle ME was significantly higher than the group of high ME(P<0.05).Haugh unit, the group of middle ME was significantly higher than the group of low and high ME(P<0.05),and the group of high CP was significantly higher than the group of low CP(P<0.05). ④The excretion of Ca,standing range of Ca,standing rate of Ca,standing rate P,ME had significant influence(P<0.05).standing range of Ca and standing rate of Ca,the group of middle ME was significantly higher than the group of high ME.Intake of GE, P and Ca, excretion of N and Ca was significantly higher than the group of high CP(P<0.05).⑤It is comprehensively considered, in the brood and finishing time,appropriate dietary ME and CP were:11.7MJ/kg,24% in the brood time,11.4 MJ/kg,20%in the finishing time.The group 2 is the best.
