Research On Genetic Specificity Of Medicago Sativa L. Cv. Longdong Native

The root system of Medicago sativa L.cv. Longdong Native is different from the exasting alfalfa's, which distributing in the foot of dark and damp mountain in Qingshui, Dingxi, Gansu Province. The result of anantomy on root system shows that the anatomical structure of the underground horizontal-crossing section and the underground tillering bud are all stemed structure. Meanwhile, the end of underground internode which arranging irregularly has the ability to take shape in shoot campylodromely. Based on the principle of dividing root system type raised by H.T. Hamat and Shihuang Chen, M.longdong Native belongs to rhizomatous alfalfa.To knowing the genetic difference among M.longdong native and other alfalfa species, the technique of analysis of peroxide isozymic patterns and karyotype has beening used in this experiment.
