This article is aim to study cutting propagation technology and rooting mechanism of Liriodendron chinese×L.tulipifera.The results are as following:The rooting percentage of the hardwood cuttings are the highest when they are soaked in ABT6 and the mixture of IBA and NAA(IBA:NAA=1:1) 200mg·L-1 for 4 hours , then the rooting percentage is 78.3% ; The optimal soaking time for hardwood cuttings is 4 hours with IBA 200mg·L-1 , then the rooting percentage is the highest ; The optimal dealt concentration of exterior hormone for hardwood cuttings is 400mg·L-1 when the cuttings are soaked in IBA for 2 houres . The rooting percentage was the highest when the softwood cuttings were soaked in ABT1 200mg·L-1 for 2 hours , then the rooting percentage is 79% ; The optimal soaking time for softwood cuttings is 2 hours , then the average rooting percentage is the highest ; The optimal dealt concentration of exterior for softwood cuttings is 600 mg·L-1 . The experiment of cuttage times showed that the best time for cuttage is at the time of 13th Jun . The rooting percentages of cuttings are markedly different between the individual plant clones .The amylum in cuttings decompounds and the soluble sugar , soluble protein increase in cuttings during the rooting process for Liriodendron chinese×L.tulipifera. The quckly increase of such two solublly organic compounds is advantage to the formation of cutting's adventitious root. High content of MDA and activity of SOD enzyme is disadvantage to the formation of cuttings'adventitious root . The activity of SOD enzym has close relation with the formation of cutting's adventitious root , and its high activity is advatage to the formation of cuttings'adventitious root .The moderate accumulation of IAA and increasing ratio of IAA/ZR , IAA/ABA in cuttings during the development of rootting for Liriodendron chinese×L.tulipifera is advantage to the adventitious root formation. The accumulation of GA3 and ZR are advantage to the formation of cuttings'callus, but it is disadvantage to the adventitious root formation for cuttings .When at the times of softwood cuttings for individual plant clones , the activity of POD enzyme and the content of ABA , GA3 in cuttings have remarkble correlation with the rootting percentage of the cuttings ; The content of IAA , GA3 and the ratio of IAA/ABA , ZR/IAA have remarkble corralation with the root effecte index .The correlative results show that there is rootting inhabitor in the phloem of Liriodendron chinese×L.tulipifera , most of the rooting inhabitor is apt to dissolve in water and its content will increase with the augment to cuttings'extent of lignification and dormancy .
