Hammer pulverator, which is one of the four main feed processing machineries and one of the necessary equipment of feed processing, has a great influence on economy enery sources in feed factory. In this paper the structural features of the hammer pulverator are analyzed. Based on Structural Mechanics and Vibration Theory, the statics and the vibration characteristic of its frame are investigated with the finite element software. Firstly, the stiffness of the present hammer pulverator's bearing support which is distant from the motor is analyzed using the finite element analyzing software ANSYS. And some improved program structures are presented by the analyzed results. The improved program structures are optimized based on the stiffness and vibration. Then the vibration characteristics of several different structures of the frame are analyzed and the optimized structure is proposed. The results of dynamic optimum design give a good theoretical reference for the optimum structure of the hammer pulverator.A test system of vibration and noise for the hammer pulverator is constructed based on the virtual instalment and the software platform of Labview. The vibration and noise characteristics of hammer pulverator are analyzed and compared roundly, as well as its vibration power spectrums and noise power spectrum, by measuring the vibration and noise of hammer pulverator's frame, bearing support and motor in multi-direction when the hammer pulverator is run without load. In addition, the vibration and noise of hammer pulverator without sieves and load are measured again, and the test data is analyzed in order to investigate the noise and vibration characteristics deeply. Some measures including structure optimum of frame far from motor and length shorten of the hammer are proposed by analyzing and comparing the vibration and noise of both cases that the pulverator with and without hammers and load for controlling the vibration and noise of the hammer pulverator. It is shown that the average acceleration of vibration decreased 11 percent and the noise decreased 6 dB. The effect is very well. The research in this paper proves a reliable basis for improving hammer pulverator's performances further.
