With different application concentrations of Super Absorbent Polymers,physiological and biochemical features of two-year-old cutting seedlings of three Photinia plants (Photinia serrulata,Photinia×fraseri'Red Robin',Photinia glabra var. robens) were studied. The purposes of the study were to research the mechanisms of drought resistance and to compare their drought resistance,so as to choose the best concentration of Super Absorbent Polymers for the three Photinia plants. This paper found out that:1.Under drought stress,the soil moisture and the relative water content of the 3 materials decreased;the treatments of Photinia plants showed smaller decline than the control.2.The chlorophyll content of all the treatments of Photinia serrulata decreased;the treatments of Photinia×fraseri'Red Robin'and Photinia glabra var. robens increased at first, then decreased.3.Under drought stress,cell membrane permeability and MDA content of the 3 materials rose gradually;the treatments of Photinia plants showed smaller increase than the control.Along with drought picking up,the activity of SOD increased at first,then decreased.4. There was a certain difference in the soluble protein content between the 3 materials under drought stress.All the treatments of Photinia serrulata increased;The control,the treatments of 3‰and 4‰Super Absorbent Polymers concentrations of Photinia×fraseri'Red Robin'increa-sed at first,then decreased,the treatments of 1‰and 2‰concentrations increased gradually;The control,the treatments of 3‰and 4‰concentrations of Photinia glabra var. robens increased at first,then decreased,the treatments of 1‰and 2‰concentration increased all the time.Along with drought stress picking up,the soluble sugar and the dissociation proline content of the 3 materials increased gradually.5.Through principal component analysis and subordination function analysis,we got the conclusion:The best Super Absorbent Polymers concentration for Photinia serrulata was 3‰;The best Super Absorbent Polymers concentration for Photinia×fraseri'Red Robin'was 2‰;The best Super Absorbent Polymers concentration for Photinia glabra var. robens was 2‰。...
