| Powdery mildew was one of the most important diseases of common wheat worldwide. Growing resistant cultivars was the most economic,effective and environment-friendly way to control the disease.But the traditional method was that varieties carried different resistant genes were put into production one by one which led to the lose of disease resistance,so another proposal was put forward that was by increasing the genetic diversities to reduce the selection pressure to the cause of disease colony.Different varieties were mixed in space could reduce the epidemic of disease.It was important to make clear the backgrounds of the resistance about genetic hosts.The genetic diversity of 88wheat varieties was studied using resistance gene analogue(RGA) analysis was conducted by PCR amplification,which using the primers that the DNA sequence encoding for protein kinase in the Pto gene for Pto-kinl and Pto-kin2.The results showed that some varieties,for example BaoFengl04,R88,NAU405,NAU440,NAU359,Co3×Co4,Guinong21xuan were clustered from different genetic distances.It suggested that an appropriate mixed-planting of was an effective approach for wheat powdery mildew control,the RGA datas could be useful and efficient about wheat production with diverse genetic backgrounds and economical characteristics in the field and breeding of resistant cultivars by selecting different parental cultivars with great genetic diversities.Cultivar mixture was one of the most economical and effective measures for disease control and yield increase.A field experiment was designed to test the effects of cultivar mixtures,BaoFeng 104 and Jing 411,a resistant and a susceptible line,were mixed at the ratio of 1:0,1:1,1:2,2:1 and 0:1 and replicated for three times.The experimental plots were designed as randomized blocks.The results showed BaoFeng 104 and Jing411 were mixed at the ratio of 2:1,the real value of AUDPC less than theoretical,the real values of yield and 1000-grain weight were more than the theoretical values.The results provided strong evidence that cultivar mixtures was useful for suppression of the disease.Cultivar mixtures of wheat diversification provided an ecological approach to disease control,with the resistant line took higher percentage,the disease control was better. |
