Aphis gossypii Glover is one of the majorest pests in cultivation area of Chinese wolfberry . It cause the decrease in quality and the poor output of Chinese wolfberry , so it make great economic losses to wolfberry in recent years. The effect of aphis damage on primary and secondary metablism substances of wolfberry was studied at laboratory. The results as followed:1.The content of chlorophyll-a decreased slightly in leaves damaged by aphis. The content of chlorophyll-b decreased significantly on the 1st day post the damage, the content increased on the 3rd and 5th day post the damage, and the content decreased on the 7th day post the damage, they all had no differentiation without contrast.2.The contents of sugar-soluble and protein decreased significantly without contrast as aphis damaging (Ñ€<0.01), and the remarkable increase happened on the 1st day post the damage. The content of sugar-soluble before and post the gamage are 64.86mg/g and 54.00mg/g, separately, and protein are 72.98mg/g and 50.50mg/g, separately.Then the contents of sugar-soluble and protein increase as the the time post damged, and they fluctuate below contrasts.3.The contents of tannin and flavone increased significantly in leaves damaged by aphis (Ñ€<0.01). The content of tannin before and post the damage are 0.64mg/g and 0.83 mg/g, respectively, flavone are 3.52 mg/g and 4.72 mg/g, respectively. The content trend to increase as the time post damaged, and the remarkable increase happened on the 1st day post the damage.Then the amplitude reduces but still is higher than contrast.4.The activities of polyphenol oxidase and peroxidase in leaves of wolfberry rise significantly as aphis damaging (Ñ€<0.01). The activity of polyphenol oxidase rise at different degree as the time post damage, and on the 3rd day post the damage is higher significantly than the activity on the 5th day post the damage(Ñ€<0.01), the activity of polyphenol oxidase on the 5th day post the damage have no difference without the activty on the 7th day post the damage, the highest activity happened on the 7th day post the damage. The highest activity of peroxidase happened on the 5th day post the damage, and significantly is higher than the activity on the 3rd and 7th days post the damage. The activitiy on the 3rd day post the damage have no difference without the activity the 7th day post the damage.
