Calycanthus chinensis is belong to Calycanthus ,for the third Ji Jie relic species, which was listed as a protected plant in grade two. It comes into flower in Summer, the volume of flower is larger, white petals, and has better value of appreciation.Collect and read information about Calycanthus broadly, survey on a sample wild habitat, understand its distribution and characteristics, and design the following simulation experiment.Through dealing with light and soil moisture of Calycanthus which is Introducted to Shanghai recently, determining the changes of physiological and biochemical and morphology changes indexes, in order to screen out the most suitable shade rate and water content of soil for its growth.Based on the above experimental methods, study the adaptation of Calycanthus on the conditions of natural high-temperature in Shanghai, which could provide a theoretical basis for popularization.During adversity conditions, Calycanthus enhanced concentration of cell sap in orde to improve the capacity of osmotic adjustment by increasing the concentration of soluble sugar and proline;remove excess free radicals in the body to enhance antioxidant capacity by enhancing the activity of membrane protective system;Calycanthus enhanced the resistance of plants by maintaining higher ratio of Chlorophyll and Carotenoid, in order to ensure an adequate supply of the reaction center pigment; At the same time, the content of chlorophyll was reduced in degrees.the content of MDA, proline and the activity of SOD rised in first time, then gradually declined, the volume of processing vary; decrease in chlorophyll content, different changes from different situation.Comprehensive evaluation of plant growth situations by analysis a number of physiological indicators, the results are basically consistent with the patterns observed. The A2B3,A3B2 and A3B3 deal with the best growth. The optimum light transmission rate is25-50percents, soil moisture is 25-45percents.Based on the experimental dealed with light and soil moisture of Calycanthus, study the adaptation of Calycanthus under the conditions of natural high-temperature.During the average of highest temperature above 33℃in July and August in Shanghai, Calycanthus is able to adapt to the changes in the environment of high temperature stress through adjusting a variety of material changes in the body.To sum up, Calycanthus could Smoothly through the summer in Shanghai.for future application in the garden provides a theoretical basis, which could provide a theoretical basis for popularization and application in gardon design.
