Study On Root Segment Reproductive Characteristics Of Apocynum Venetum And The Relationship Of Its Characteristics With Soluble Sugar Content

Apocynum venetum L. is a perennial herb with a wide range of uses,which is able to resist drought and salinization and can be for medicament and textile,It possesses very high ecological and economic value. However,great value makes its wild resources appear to be especially limited,completely can not meet the market's demand. In recent years many people's predatory exploitation and overgrazing have seriously affected Apocynum venetum L. thriving, resulting in a shortage of industrial raw materials,the soil ecological vironment of the growing place has also been suffered serious damage. In order to reverse the penurious situation of Apocynum venetum L. resources and supply the day-to-day and industrial demand, and at the same time relieve all sorts of hidden dangers which cover in the fragile ecosystems of saline-alkali land,this paper studied systematically the root segment reproductive characteristics of Apocynum venetum and the relationship between its characteristics and soluble sugar content, on the basis of the previous preliminary exploration.The research methods and results are as follows:(1)By measuring of average height of each pot, leaves and twig amount of each root segment of Apocynum venetum breeding future generations of 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10cm root segment, it has been proved that the longer root segment,the better reproductive effects.(2)By measuring of above index of Apocynum venetum root segment planted in before period of seedling establishment, vegetation period, before florescence, florescence and pod bearing period five periods, it has been proved that the average reproductive effects throughout the growth cycle in before period of seedling establishment is the best.(3)By measuring of above index of root collar ,verticalroot and horizontalroot three positions of Apocynum venetum root segment,it has been proved that the reproductive effects of root collar better than verticalroot, and the latter better than horizontalroot.(4)By random sampling of all processing Apocynum venetum root segment and measuring their soluble sugar content by use of anthrone colorimetry,it has been proved that the soluble sugar content of root segment with better reproductive effects usually markedly larger. But except pod bearing period, its reason is to be further explored.Overall, the change of root segment length,multiplication period and root segment position three main conditionses can cause change of soluble sugar content in root segment, and then it causes difference of reproductive effects of Apocynum venetum root segment.
