In this study,first,Wild turfgrass of Poa and Festuca are be collected.And then study the adaptabI lity,choice the grasses with better adaptability,at last research the grassws under the heat-resistant and drought resistance.Through research,obtained the following results:1.After identification,these grasses are P.crymophila Keng,P.sphondylodes Trin.,P.pratensis L.,P.nemoralis L.,P.annua L.,P.angust ifolia.L.,P.sibirica Roshev.,P.acroleuca Steud.,Festuca rubra L.,Festuca arundinacea Schreb.,Festuca sinensis keng.2.After a preliminary study,choose the grasses which be able to adapt to growth in Beijing and have bet ter turf performance value.These are P.pratensis L.,P.sphondylodes Trin.,P.annua L.,P.angustif olia.L.3.Research four kinds of wild turfgrass under high temperature stress.Taking the variety "mid-night" as the CK,Variation of several physiological indices including the lethal temperature,membrane permeability,proline accumulation and malondialdehyde of four grasses under h-igh temperature stress was measured.The result showed that the lethal temperature of P.pratensis L.,P.spho-ndy lodes Trin.,P.annua L.,P.angustifolia.L.and "midnight" was 56.56,55.95,52.88,53.78 and 56.09℃respectively;cell membrane permeability and the content of malondialdehyde raised,proline accumulation were gradually increaset then decreased with the temperature grades going up.It was found that there existed some difference of heat resistance among the four grasses.The ranks of heat resistance of four grasses were P.pratensis L.,P.sphondy lodes Trin.,P.annua L.and P.angustifolia.L..4.Research four kinds of wild turfgrass under drought stress.Taking the variety "mid-night" as the CK, the drought stress were studied on 4 Wild grasses of Poa L.The results showed that drought stresses induced oxidative injury in all cultivars,as demonstrated by the reduction in antioxidant enzymes and increase in lipid peroxidation.Meanwhile it caused RWC to decline,while EL,LW and the content of MDA to increase with proceeding of the treatment.There were signifycant or very significant correlations during all the idexes for four species.The ranks of drought resistance of four grasses were P. sphondylodes Trin.,P.pratensis L.,P.annua L.,P.angustifolia.L.,and P.sphondylodes Trin.had stronger drought tolerance than others,.were significantly different compared with others.These results would facilitate the selection of drought resistant turfgrasses.
