Rice is one of most important crops in the world. In China, most people depend on rice as the main food.So the rice play an important role in the development of the domestic economy and the social stability. However both in the growing period and the storage period, rice was damaged seriously because of the insect pests. With the development of the gene-technology,the transgenic crops appeared. Some Bt gene crops were commercialized.By reforming the DNA,the new resistant strains to pest can offer the new method and approach to reduce the pests. It can improve the output and the quality of the crops, solve the conflict of the population increase and the food shortage, promote the agriculture sustainable development. At present, the Bt gene rice has appeared. So the researches on the effect and risk assessment of transgenic rice on stored product insect pests during storage will be a new aspect. The objective of this research was to quantify the effect of transgenic rice seedⅡY MS67 containing CryIA(c)/SCK and non-Bt isolines transgenic rice seedⅡYM86 on stored product insect pests during storage. The main results were as follows:1 The determination of the Bt toxin during storage.Between 2008.03 and 2008.11,it was determinated that the contain of the Bt toxin-CryIA(c) in the rice descended from 1.593μg/g to 1.262μg/g.The speed of the deterioration is 0.121μg/g,it is faster than the speed that from 2008.05 to 2008.11.It shows that the Bt toxin in the rice will be contained in a long time.2 The effects of CryIA(c)/SCK gene rice on Angoumois Grain Moth(Lepi -doptera: Gelechiidae) and Indian Meal Moth(Lepidoptera:Pyralidae) during storageThis experiment shows that, the survivorships and fecundities of angnumois grain moth and indian meal moth reared on the Bt transgenic rice were 33.6%and 40.8%significantly lower than that reared on the non-Bt isolines transgenic rice 71.6%and 75.2%.Adult body length of the two moths is 0.328cm and 0.5125cm significantly shorter than these two species were reared on the Bt transgenic rice hybrids 0.4624cm and 0.8752cm.Average duration of development of the two moths is significantly longer than these using the Bt transgenic rice to rear. This experiment also shows that, the storage insect pests colonize easily in the no-integrity rice compare with the integrity rice. However, the integrity and no-integrity Bt transgenic rice all expressed the well resistance to insects.3 The effects of CryIA(c)/SCK gene rice on Tribolium castaneum during storageThis experiment shows that, the developmental time of larva and pupation of the Tribolium castaneum which reared on the Bt transgenic rice were 43.71d and 10.19d not significantly than that reared on the non-Bt isolines transgenic rice 42.55d and 9.42d.Besides,the pupation rate and the emergence rate are not significantly than that reared on the non-Bt isolines transgenic rice.4 The effects of CryIA(c)/SCK gene rice on Liposcelis bostrychophila during storageThis experiment shows that, the development periods,No.of eggs per female, oviposition periods and mean longevity of Liposcelis bostrychophila that reared on the Bt transgenic rice which contained the 1.459μg/g Bt toxin were not significantly than that reared on the non-Bt isolines transgenic rice.Meybe the Liposcelis bostrychophila is not the drone of the CryIA(c). But the hatching rate of Liposcelis bostrychophila reared on the Bt transgenic rice is 65.17%, significantly lower than the 73%which reared on the non-Bt isolines transgenic rice.Perhaps,it because the cumulation of the Bt toxin. So it need to observe contain on the later generations.
