Allelopathy exists extensively in agricultural ecosystem,and it brings significant effects on agricultural production.Nowadays,it becomes a fashion project to overcome its disadvantageous effects.It has a yield and quality decreasing,diseases and insect pests increasing in eggplant production by continuous cropping obstacles,partial important reason of which is allelopathy.It has little study on eggplant allelopathy.So allelopathy of eggplant was studied systemically in this experiment.The main results were as follows.1.The allelopathy of donor materials on recipient materials was studied by bioassay methods. According allelopathy ability,the optimum donor material(tomato) and the optimum extract combination(drying sterilization and 10mg/ml) was selected.2.The influence of living organism on allelopathy of eggplant was studied by extract inactivation at high temperature.The results indicted that allelochemicals could promote germinating of receptor seeds and growing of seedlings at low concentration,while allelochemicals showed inhibition at high concentration,and the effects of inaction allelochemicals were better than untreated allelochemicals.So allelopathy of eggplant was the interaction allelochemicals of living organism.3.Allelopathy of eggplant plant water extraction showed double effects,which promoted at low concentration and inhibited at high concentration.The results also indicated that the influence of allelochemicals on roots was far greater than on above-ground organs.The allelopathy of eggplant on lettuce seeds was decreasing seed vigor,and delaying seed germination,instead of decreasing the germination rate.4.Irrigating eggplant extract could promote growing of tomato seedlings,especially growing of under-ground parts,accumulating dry matter and improving seedling index.The influence on under-ground parts were greater than on above-ground parts.Irrigating eggplant extract could improve root activity of tomato seedlings,and improve the activity of soil invertase,urease and dehydrogenase.5.Spraying eggplant extract could promote growing of tomato seedlings,with the effects on above-ground parts greater than on under-ground parts.Spraying eggplant extract could significantly increase tomato leaf areas,improve the stability of membrane system,decrease exudation of electrolyte,inhibit the accumulation of MDA in leaves while increase the accumulation of Pro and improve activity of SOD,CAT and POD.6.Plants,sprayed or irrigated by eggplant extract at 30℃,had best growth,best membrane system stability,better root and soil enzyme activity,highest Pro,SOD,CAT and POD content and lowest MAD content.The effect at 25℃was worst,while the effects at 35℃took the second place. Comparing with check treatment,increasing extent at 25℃was highest,second at 35℃and lowest at 30℃.
