In this experiment was to investigate the effect of Integrated Rice-Duck Farming(IRDF) on growth performance and meat quality of duck.Selection 168 21-day male Jin-Ding duck which with the same healthy and body status,were randomly divided into four groups,each with 3 replicates,the control group was ground-feeding group,repeat every 20 ducks,with the complete feed;experiment group 1,2,3 were IRDF groups,fed in paddy and each group had 3 replicates(667m~2 as a unit) and each replicate included 12 ducks,experiment group 1 fed complete diet,feeding capacity was 80%of the control group;experiment group 2 fed complete diet,feeding capacity was 60%of the control group;experiment group 3 was fed with paddy,feeding capacity was 60%of the control group,in the 42-day,the IRDF groups changed to ground-feeding by the original groups and continued to feed 14 d.The experiment was conducted for 56 days.The results showed as follows:(1)Compared with the control group,the ADG(average daily gain) of the IRDF groups significantly decreased(P<0.01),but with the reduction of Feeding, F/G(feed/gain) of dee-duck system groups was decreased(p<0.05).The best group was the IRDF group which fed with 60%complete feed,F/G decreased by 26.69%.(2) Compared with the control group,the duck breast rate of the IRDF group respectively decreased by 18.15%,27.4%,33.56%(P<0.05),the semi-eviscerated rate, eviscerated rate were decreased(P>0.05),the slaughter rate had little changed;the leg muscle rate has increase trends,three groups were increased by 6.12%,6.83%,1.12% respectively.(3) Water and protein content of muscle of the IRDF didn't have obvious change, but the fat content of muscle significantly decreased(P<0.05),the cooked rate of breast increase,the water loss rate decreased(P>0.05),and the cooked rate and water rate of leg muscle haven't changed significantly.The color score of breast improved, Compared with the control group,color score of experiment group 3 increased 39.42% (P<0.01),between the experiment group 2 and 3,color score of leg muscle were significantly(P<0.05) but with the control group,didn't have significant differences. Fiber diameter breast was thin(P<0.01),and fiber density was got larger(P<0.01);Leg muscle fiber diameter was got more thicker(P<0.01),smaller fiber density was got smaller(P<0.01).Amino acids content of muscle of the IRDF group didn't have significant difference,but compared with the control group,the IRDF groups have the trend to increase in UAA(umami amino acids),EAA(essential amino acids) and TAA(total amino acids )content of breast.(4) The IRDF group 1 has a certain effect on serum biochemical indicators,the BUN(Blood Urea Nitrogen),TP(Total Peitein),LDL-C(Low Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol),TG(Triglyceride) content were significantly higher than the control group (P<0.05),the IRDF group accelerated the speed of the duck in protein synthesis and catabolism.(5) Experiment groups growth performance with different feeding pattern was lower than the control group which keeps on ground-feeding in the whole period. Experiment groups in the earlyer experiment period got the higher the feeding level,the faster the growth rate,but there didn't have significant different among the experiment groups.Compared with early experiment periods,Slaughter performance has improved(6) Experiment group's economic efficiency with different feeding pattern significantly higher than the control group and the IRDF group which fed with 60%complete feed gets the best economic returns.
