In this study, the Total Flavone of Euphorbia Humifusa(TFEH)were abstracted with method of ethanol-water and prepared into injection according to galenical pharmacy requirement in order to develop TFEH injection. The content of TFEH was detected by ultraviolet spectrophtography(standard substance was Rutoside, developer was NaN02-Al (NO3) 3-NaOH) andλmax was 510nm.) and the injection was checked by physico-chemical property, heat source, stimulation, sterile and so on. The results showed that the content of TFEH injection in this study was 5mg/ml and it was stable, safe and corresponded to requirement.TFEH injection was studied in antibacterial effect with agar diffusion method and strains of E coli C44103, Staphylococcus aureus C26112, pastometer bacillus C44-1, strep01026 and salmonella. The antibacterial effect of TFEH injection was detected qualitatively with agar diffusion method and quantitatively with tube dilution method. The results showed that five different strains had different sensitivity to TFEH injection. E coli and salmonellae were strongly sensitive to TFEH injection and the inhibition zones were more than 19nm, and their minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC)all were 0.325mg/ml, But the sensitivity of strep were medium and pastometer bacillus and Staphylococcus aureus were insensitive to TFEH injection. Two hundreds piglets which had typical clinical symptom of yellow and white diarrhea were selected and divided into drug group, test groups and blank group and each group had 40 piglets. By intramuscular injection(i.m), Berberine injection were used to piglets in drug and Sodium Chloride were used to piglets in blank group. The test groups were composed of high does(10mg/kg), medial does(6mg/kg)and minor does(3mg/kg)group had same usage of second a day and continual use for three days and raised in same good environmrntal conditions with scientific administering methods. The results showed that TFEH injection had a good effect in treating yellow and white diarrhea of piglets with high dose(10mg/kg). The cure rate was 89.5% and the effective rate reached 97.5. The results had no obvious difference comparing with curative effect of Berberine injection.
