The molecular markers has widely used in rice breeding research. It has played a very important role in the situations of application of molecular markers involving rice genetic map construction, genetic germplasm reservation and polymorphism analysis, gene tagging and clone and molecular marker assisted selection.Panicle length is an important component of of the rice yield . Most of crop traits are quantitative in nature, which are controlled by polygene. It's very important for rice breeding improvement to map quantitative trait loci (QTLs) of brown rice panicle length.Until now, some QTL mapping for panicle length of rice have been reported, however, the results of rice panicle length of these researches were quite different under different genetic background and environmental conditions. The objective of this study was to identify QTLs conditioning brown rice panicle length using a F2 population, and analysis genetic diversity of aromatic rice varieties based on SSR. The main results are as follows:LuHui99 and Nipponbare were used to creat 374 F2 segregating population. Two parents were used to screen 150 polymorphism makers from 527 pairs of SSR primers and 80 pairs of InDel primers.374 F2 populations were tagged and mapped with 150 polymorphism markers.A genetic linkage map consisting of 138 makers was constructed for rice panicle length research. The total length of the map was about 2342.4 cM.The average linkage distance was 15.61 cM.Quantitative trait loci(QTLs) for rice panicle length were mapped on to the molecular marker linkage map.7 QTLs for panicle length on chromosome 1,chromosome 2,chromosome 6,chromosome 7,chromosome 8,chromosome 9 and chromosome 10 were identified. The proportions of phenotypic variance explained by individual QTL ranged 2.25%~14.35%,and the QTLs could jointly explain 48.84% of the total phenotypic variance.
