Regard Dagushan mining area of Anshan city Liaoning Province as study area, based on forestry and ecology theory, Supported by technology of GIS,GPS and RS , this paper has carried on the mining area vegetation present situation investigation, and carries on analysis to the result,the most main achievement include:1 Choice method of multispectral remote sensing data for Mining area are improved. The charac- teristics of seven bands of TM and interpretation among them are analysed,The related theory (square deviation,standard deviation,correlation matrix,optimal index) are used .AT last 4(R)5(G) 3(B) is the best bands combined for the experiment region.2 In this paper,the Brovey transformation method is selected in several major fusion method to make the fusion of Landsat TM image with 30 meters and cbers-2 all-color data with 3 meters. obtain fused remote sensing image both have characteristic information of TM data and high spatial resolution of cbers-2 all-color data,It is conducive to remote sensing visual interpretation3 Build background database on ecology environment of Dagushan mining area based on GIS, which is supplied as base information database for digitalize and auto-management of mining area.4 Using remote sensing data, Carries on the comparative analysis of 1998 and 2007 ,obtain mining area change of vegetation in 1998-2007 period, and analyzes the change type.5 Supported by technology of GIS,GPS and RS ,this paper carries on the statistical analysis to The distribution of vegetation of different influence areas of Mining area(high-grade influence area,mid-grade influence area,low-grade influence area),The GIS is used to make pictures about Forest health and Forest disasterThat applying technology of GIS,GPS and RS to the investigation of mining area vegetation cover land background , can decrease outdoor workload, enhanced the efficiency, realize compo- sitive analysis, query, statistical analysis on Forest land factor and vegetation condition etc. many kinds of factors by means of relevant mathematic method. Enhanced the data application efficiency greatly,And it can show Each kind of analysis result by a intuitionistic way as picture. which makes all scattered work compositivize and systemize.Aimed at current situation that there's rough management, low manage-level and slow information technique in forestry, this study has certain technique base and supply value to actuate forestry management informational.
