In order to elucidate the difference of sulfate efficiency among genotypes of wheat,41 genotypes of wheat had been collected form different areas of HeNan.Through pot experiment the Sulfate efficiency had been appraisal and identify.Based on this studies, LankaoAizao8 and Yunong949 had been choose and planted on hydroponics experiment and fieid experiment.The main approaches including the difference of Sulfate Uptake and Utilization efficiency among Genotypes of wheat,the effect of sulfate on grains'yield and quality,and the effect on physiological characteristic of wheat.The principal results were as follows:1.Through studies on the dry weight and tiller of different genotypes at seedling stage, The results showed that the difference of the dry weight among different genotypes of wheat under CKcondition and S treatment were all remarkable.The difference of the tiller among different genotypes of wheat under S treatment was remarkable,but under CKcondition the difference of tiller was not remarkable. Using the Sulfurous fertilizer increased the dry weight and tiller.Studies on the difference of the flag leaf SPAD value among genotypes of wheat under CKcondition and S treatment. The results showed that The difference of flag leaf SPAD value of different genotypes at blooming stage were all remarkable.The flag leaf SPAD value of different genotypes in wheat under S treatment was higher than that in CKcondition. The SPAD value of flag leaf increased with the growth process, and drop promptly after reaching the maximum at anthesis. The correlativity analysis showed that the flag leaf SPAD value of wheat positively related with sulfate utilization efficiency, sulphur fertilization could improve SPAD value of chlorophyll, and the higher sulfate utilization efficiency, the higher SPAD value.2.The difference of S content amounts and S uptake amounts among different genotypes of wheat under CKcondition and S treatment were all remarkable. The results showed that the S content amounts and S uptake amounts of different genotypes under CKcondition was 1.80 mg S/g and3.02 mg S/g, but under S treatment increased with the amounts of S content and S uptake which was 1.88 mg S/g and3.22 mg S/g. Using the Sulfurous fertilizer increased the S content amounts and S uptake amounts.3.The difference of Economic yield and biomass among different genotypes of wheat under CKcondition and S treatment were all remarkable.The results showed that the economic yield and biomass of different genotypes under CKcondition was 15.63g/pot and 34.38 g/pot, but under S treatment increased with the economic yield and biomass which was 17.85g/pot and 38.17g/pot.Using the Sulfurous fertilizer increased the economic yield and biomass. The economic yield and biomass under S treatment had been improved by 14.6% and 11.8% than that under CK condition.4.The differences of sulfate uptake and economic yield among genotypes wheat were also highly significant. Clustering of wheat cultivars for S uptake and economic yield of different genotypes,Refer to that indexes, wheat sulfate uptake characteristic could been partitioned 4 styles: sulfate sensitive style;sulfates semi-sensitive style; sulfates insensitive style and sulfate special sensitive style.Using the sulfurous fertilizer increased the total S uptake, but decreased the S utilization effciency(SUE).The correlativity analysis showed that sulfate utilization efficiency was remarkable positively related with grains yield but remarkable negatively related with the total S uptake. Among 41 wheat genotypes could be divided into 4styles:low utilization low respond style, low utilization high respond style, high utilization low respond style, high utilization high respond style.5. The hydroponics experiment was conducted with LankaoAizao8(low utilization high respond style) and Yunong949 (high utilization low respond style),two wheat varieties,to study the physiological characteristic of wheat and the contents of proline in the leaves at the seedling stage under drought and sulfur stresses. The results showed that the difference of leaf weight, the contents of proline and sulfate utilization efficiency under CKcondition and S treatment were all remarkable;the difference of root number and root weight under CKcondition was not remarkable.The capabilityof wheat resist drought low utilization high respond style was stronger than high utilization low respond style.6. Comparing with LankaoAizao8, the activity of OASS in flag leaves of Yunong949 was stronger than LankaoAizao8. The activity of OASS in grains of Yunong949 was stronger than LankaoAizao8 under CKcondition,but which was lower than LankaoAizao8 under S treatment.There are have difference between Yunong949 and LankaoAizao8. Comparing the two varieties, the sugar contents in flag leaves and grains of LankaoAizao8 was higher than Yunong949 and the activity of SS LankaoAizao8 was stronger than Yunong949.7.Comparing the two varieties, the amount of remobilization LankaoAizao8 was higher than Yunong949,but the contribution to grain weigh of Yunong949 was higher than LankaoAizao8.Comparing with CK condition, S treatment could improve the total N uptake and N utilization efficiency of Yunong949 was higher than LankaoAizao8. Comparing the two varieties, the remobilization of sulfur in wheat LankaoAizao8 was stronger than Yunong949.In conclusion, according to the status which was shortage of soil sulfur affected yield and quality in wheat.Combine the difference of sulfate uptake and utilization efficiency among Genotypes of wheat with the supply of soil sulfur was recommended in the present. Under low S content soil condition,The sulfur high utilization genotypes of wheat had the high sulfur efficiency,Therefore,they were suitable for barren soils.The sulfur low utilization genotypes of wheat which abilities of using soil sulfur were poor, was recommended, especially in the area of the soil fertility and output with higher level. so as to realize the high yield and high quality and high-efficient goal.
