Soluble sugar content, SOD activity, relative electric conductivity and some other physiological and biochemical indexes in leaves and petals of early-flowering variety'Tangyujinqiu'and late-flowering variety'Xiangyun'which belonging to autumn Chrysanthemum were determined in different developmental stage under field. The purpose was to discuss the differences of physiological and biochemical indexes and sensitive period of different chrysanthemum varieties to rich the theory of regulating florescence. The results were as follows:1,The relative electric conductivity of'Xiangyun'and'Tangyujinqiu'leaves and petals elevated significantly during flowering,, and the relative electric conductivity of'Xiangyun'leaves had always been greater than that of'Tangyujinqiu'. Which in petals was the opposite. MDA content of'Xiangyun'and'Tangyujinqiu'elevated during all the flowering. That MDA of'Tangyujinqiu'petals lower than that of'Xiangyun'showed that free radical in'Tangyujinqiu'petals was lower and there was less damage in'Tangyujinqiu'petals. That MDA of'Xiangyun'leaves lower than that of'Tangyujinqiu'showed that free radical in'Xiangyun'leaves was lower and there was less damage in'Xiangyun'leaves.2,The soluble protein content of'Xiangyun'leaves and petals reached the maximum at the first stage of full bloom , increased by 21.45% and 38.75% in the early flowering period. The soluble protein of'Tangyujinqiu'leaves and petals reached the maximum at the early flowering period, droped by 7.58% and 42.93% in the first stage of full bloom,'Xiangyun'leaves and petals elevated during the early flowering period and the first stage of full bloom. At the same period,'Tangyujinqiu'leaves and petals degraded and the two kinds demonstrated clear physiological mechanism differences.3,SOD activity of'Tangyujinqiu'leaves and petals increased by 34.77% and 50.03% during the first stage of full bloom and the full-flowering stage, reached the maximum in full-flowering stage. In the same period ,SOD activity of'Xiangyun'leaves and petals droped by 32.75% and 32.95% , reached the maximum at the first stage of full bloom. There were obvious physiological mechanism differences between the two kinds of Chrysanthemum variety.4,The proline content of'Xiangyun'and'Tangyujinqiu'leaves and petals reached the maximum at the end of full-blown stage. The experiment results showed that the sensitive period of proline content change was in the full-flowering stage and the end of full-blown stage. The soluble sugar content of'Xiangyun'leaves and petals increased by 39.07% and 153.6% during full-flowering stage and the end of full-blown stage, the soluble sugar content of'Tangyujinqiu'leaves and petals reached the maximum at the end of full-blown stage, it was dropped by 9.48% and 14.93% at the end of full-blown stage. As soluble sugar content of'Xiangyun'leaves and petals had been greater than that of'Tangyujinqiu', this may be the characteristics of late-flowering variety.'Xiangyun'leaves and petals elevated between the full-flowering stage and the end of full-blown stage.'Tangyujinqiu'leaves and petals had a declining trend at the same period, the two kinds showed obvious physiological mechanism differences.5,The reduction of'Tangyujinqiu'chlorophyll content mainly occurred between the full-flowering stage and the end of full-blown stage, The reduction of'Xiangyun'chlorophyll content mainly occurred during the first stage of full bloom and full-flowering stage, the two varieties of chlorophyll a/b ratio gradually increased with the prolonged plant growth. There was a rising trend in'Xiangyun'and a downward trend in'Tangyujinqiu'chlorophyll content between the full-flowering stage and the end of full-blown stage. The two kinds of Chrysanthemum variety showed obvious physiological mechanism differences.6,Early-flowering variety'Tangyujinqiu'and late-flowering variety'Xiangyun'existed some physiological mechanism differences throughout the flowering period, mainly in soluble sugar, proline, conductivity, SOD, and other physiological indexes; proline content rapidly elevated during full-flowering stage and the end of full-blown stage,'Xiangyun'soluble sugar content increases significantly and'Tangyujinqiu'soluble sugar content degraded rapidly in the same period, so this period may be the sensitive period of two varieties.
