Studies On Effects Of Liqiud Film Mulching On Flue-Cured Tobacco Field

Field trials were carried out in Baiyuan township of Yichuan county, Henan province in 2006. We set up three different treatment of mulching (T1: plastic film mulching, T2: liquid film mulching, CK: no mulching) and studied effect of liquid mulching on water & temperature condition of soil, soil key enzyme, growth of flue-cured tobacco, fluorescence characteristics, quantity and chemical quality, mineral element, neutral volatile aroma matters and economic characters after curing, at the same time we preliminarily evaluated their effects. The results were summarized as follows:1. Liquid film cover has effect of improving soil temperature and conserving soil water to a certain extent. Effect of plastic film mulching is the best, as compared with contrast treatment, the soil temperature was raised by 3.5℃on the average in the tillage layer between 0-20cm, water content of soil also was raised by 2.9% on the average. Effect of plastic film mulching is better, as compared with contrast treatment, the soil temperature was raised by 0.9℃on the average in the tillage layer between 0-20cm, water content of soil also was raised by 1.2% on the average. With the depth increasing, As compared with contrast treatment, soil water & temperature increment of two mulching treatment are both slow down.2. Liquid film mulching has effect of soil key enzyme activity to a certain extent. Obviously mulching treatment enhanced activity of soil peroxidase and soil sucrose, also it restrained activity of soil urease to a certain extent. Their sequence are T2>T1>CK and T1>T2>CK individually among on improving activity of soil peroxidase and soil sucrose, the sequence of restraining activity of soil urease is T1>T2>CK. Liquid film mulching improved significantly activity of soil peroxidase.3. As compared with contrast treatment, mulching treatment promoted growth on flue-cured tobacco, liquid film mulching improved R/T of flue-cured tobacco more than plastic film mulching. After being transplanted for 30 days and 45 days, Many shape characters and physiological functions of tobacco were represented T1>T2> CK, including entire dry-weight of upside ground, root dry-weight, first lateral root quantities, second lateral root quantities, first lateral root thick, stem-base thick and root vigor. Growth relations on upside and downside of tobacco from ground were coordinated obviously by liquid-film mulching cultivation, root-cap-ratio was T2> CK>T1 after 30 days that were transplanted; and was CK>T2>T1 after 45 days. Liquid-film mulching cultivation promoted mostly longitudinal growth, enhanced root vigor and resistance, and prevented the early aging.4. Liquid film mulching improved photosynthesis supersession and production formation of flue-cured tobacco. Effect distinction of chlorophyll fluorescence parameter between plastic film mulching and liquid film mulching is not obvious, their effect is fundamentally same. Expression of Fv/Fm(0.85 is regarded as critical point of stress )among three different mulching is T1>T2>CK. Flue-cured tobacco of liquid film mulching gained fairly good growth compensation in the last growing period and improved yield of flue-cured tobacco to a certain extent, its mulching effect is close or same in comparison with plastic film mulching.5. Liquid film mulching promoted quality formation of flue-cured tobacco. As compared with contrast treatment, mulching treatment increased content of TS, RS and RS/Nic. on flue-cured tobacco, on the contrary reduced content of TN, Nic. The K content of leaf in three treatments were blow 1.5%, the content of Cl- and TN/ Nic. are both in suitable range of≤1% and≤1, but K/Cl- value is still lower. As compared with contrast treatment, mulching treatment improved chemical quality of flue-cured tobacco to a certain extent, its mulching effect is close in comparison with plastic film mulching.6. Liquid film mulching have great influence on the content of mineral element and neutral volatile aroma matters. Mulching treatment could increase the content of B, Mn and Zn, especially the content range of liquid film mulching increasing Zn was the most, and it was superior to plastic film mulching on absorbing some elements. As compared with contrast treatment, mulching treatment could increase 11 compositions content of neutral volatile aroma matters on flue-cured tobacco, the sequence of content of neutral volatile aroma matters among three different treatments is T1>T2>CK.7. Liquid film mulching also improved economic indexes of flue-cured tobacco. As compared with contrast treatment, mulching treatment improved yield, output values, average price and proportions of superior leaves of flue-cured tobacco, the expression among three different treatments was T1>T2>CK, and effect distinction of economic indexes between plastic film mulching and liquid film mulching is not obvious.
