The Research Of Precaution And Control About Pseudorabies On Scale Pig Farms

Pseudorabies (PR) causes serious economic loss in our swine industry, blocking the development of our swine industry. To prevent, control, eliminate and eradicate pseudorabies is arduous task for our country, This research is aimed to find a elimination method that suits the situation of our country.In order to effectively prevent and control the PRV, we carried out following works in x inxin prologue finited company at the HuangFan region HeNan province1.The research on immune programme of PRVChosed five sows in labor and detectived the antibody of PRV,selecting four from all the piglets per sow produced,20 piglets in all and divide them into two groups,10 piglets per group. the first group was detectived the PRV antibody at 7d,14d,21d,30d,60d. meanwhile the second group were immunized on 7d,14d,21d,30d,60d and detectived antibody 7 days latter,. The result shows the piglets gained a high level antibody, and the 7 day average titer was 2^8.50 accompany with ages grow as well as gain high level antibody. In 60 day average titer was 2^2.70. before eating colostrums,The piglets hold a very low level antibody, but after immunizing, we can find that the piglets's antibody level is low in 7d,14d and 21d. However, the piglets which were immunized at 30d and 60d gained a high level antibody. The result show the first vaccination date should be chosen at 30-day-old.2 the elimination of Pseudorabits virususually , There are two kinds of Pestilential elimination modes, one is the elimination or isolation through detection,the other is that clearing all the pigs out of the site and introducing all the pigs without PRV.The first propagative site adopted the method of immunization,determination,elimin ation and supplemention of Pseudorabies negative sows.PRV-gE antibody positive sows can not be eliminated through method.Swine herd was detected many times but the positive rate still above 2%.The reason that Swine herd were not isolated for half years according the eradiction requirement before mixing with positive pigs. TengFei site took the method of clearing all the pigs out of the site and introducing all the pigs without PRV.Basic facilities was reconstructed and sterilized. Half years later, 700 negative replacement gilt was introduced to form a new herd. replacement gilt was immunized on day 15 and 30 before fertilization. Multiparity sows immunized three times per year. Piglets immunized on day 30 and 60 . TengFei site was detected two times and the result showed the positive rate is zero which provided demonstration for the eradiction of Pseudorabies in our country.3. the evaluation of prevention and controlThrough the surveillance of production level of swine herd,economic benefit and the immu-inhibit effect of Pseudorabits,we found that the index of production of Pseudorabits negative herd surpassed that of positive ones.and the Pseudorabits showed inhibit-effect to the immunization of other vaccines.In this study,two pig farms were adopted different precaution measure and gained different results.It provided a preference to the control of PR for our country:reconstruction of negative herd,immunization and a series of bio-safety measurement are effective methods to the control of PR.
