The sewage sludge vermicompost is drainage derived from earthworm processing sewage sludge.The effects of earthworm-processed sewage sludge on the marigold growth and development were evaluated , the sewage sludge vermicompost is made up of the sewage sludge and the cow whose ratio is 1:1, 2:1, 3:1, 4:1, 5:1 and 1:0, the blackland (Changchun locality typical soil type) was mixed with 10%, 20% and 30% (by dry weight) sewage sludge vermicompost. The control consisted of blackland alone without sewage sludge vermicompost. Marigolds were cultivated under greenhouse for 32days , then will be raised for 83days outdoor , The experiment has altogether carried on for 115 days.The sewage sludge vermicompost can improve soil ventilation, which is propitious to seed's germination. In the experiment, the seed of marigold has not germinated in the sewage sludge which wasn't processed by earthworm , and presented the rotten phenomenon.The sewage sludge vermicompost may promote plant growth and improve crops nutritional conditions. Through observation and measurement the plant height,stem diameter,leaf number andramification, The marigolds growth time was lengthened and develop slowly in the control and potting mixtures containing 30% vermicompost. It is helpful for the marigolds to grow in potting mixtures containing 10% vermicompost during early period growth process, The growth of marigolds in potting mixtures containing 20% vermicompost has gradually surpassed the ones in potting mixtures containing 10% vermicompost in later period and is optimal. As the proportion of vermicompost is increased above 20%, the growth of marigolds is decreased. The growth situation of marigolds under different vermicompost type is 1:1>2:1>3:1>4:1>5:1>1:0, It is explained that the less sewage sludge the best growth. The greatest biomass from overground and underground resulted from substitution of blackland with 20% and 1:1 vermicompost type, in which the marigold growth situation is most superior, the stem is sturdy, color of leaves thick green, and is very luxuriant.Through compare,analyse and statistic the flower bud number, the yield and productivity, the flower diameter, the fresh and dry weight and the rate of root cap and so on, the best growth occurred in 1:1 sewage sludge vermicompost and 20% vermicompost content. |
