With the seeds of allium mongolicum as materials, the thesis studied on different light conditions,seed soaking time and temperature,and the effects of seed development and post-maturation on seed germination and physiological characteristics of allium mongolicum. The results were as follows:1. Viable seeds decreased in 12h and 24h lights treatments,the results was showed that allium mongolicum seeds were dark seeds,and there was photodormancy in the seed.2. In 12h and 24h lights treatments,the activities of SOD POD and VC were keep a high level during the early period of accelerating germination,and the activity of MDA was lower than 0h treatment. But with the decrease of SOD and POD activities,the activity of MDA increased significantly at the late stage of seed germination.3. The seed germination percentage of diffrent seed soaking time in 12h and 24h lights treatments were lower than in dark treatment. In 12h and 24h light treatments,the enzyme activities of 12h,24h and 48h seed soaking time decreased;but SOD POD CAT and VC activities of had a tendency of descent,and the content of MDA in 0h seed soaking time was lower than that in other times.4. The seed germination percentage in accelerating germination temperature of 10℃and 30℃was lower than that in 20℃.In 24h and 12h light treatments,the germination percentage of 10℃and 30℃was 0%. The content of MDA in accelerating germination temperature of 10℃and 30℃was higher than that in 20℃,but in 24h light treatments,the content of MDA in temperature of 10℃and 30℃was higher than that in 20℃.5. The seed germination percentage of 30-50 days after flowering in light treatment was 0%. The activities of POD and CAT had a tendency of ascent in 0h light trentment, and the content of MDA decreased;the activity of SOD increased in 12h and 24h light treatments,and the activities of POD and CAT in 12h and 24h light treatments were lower than that in dark treatment,and the content of MDA increased.6. The allium mongolicum seeds of after-ripening in light treatment begin germinate from the third month after collection. 3 monthes later,in 12h and 24h light treatments,the activities of SOD,POD and CAT decreased significantly,and the activities of SOD and CAT in 12h and 24h light treatments were lower than that in 0h. The content of MDA were higher than that in 0h. It was showed that the photosensitivity of allium mongolicum seeds of 3 monthes after collection enhanced.
