Biological diversity is not only an important indicator on whether city landscape is perfect or not, but also is an evaluation criterion of the whole city environmental quality. City ecological landscape takes an advantage and has a new chance of the protection and developmont of biological diversity.It has great realistic meanings if we combine them properly to make the city into a healthy and beautiful one, which can keep the city sustainable development. besides,it can protect and develop the biological diversity.A survey is from typical sample plot greenings in 13 different residence community built in differnt time in Lishui, which also study its community structure, diversity and plants composition. Results show the foliowings.First,there are 67 families,119 genera and 145 kinds of greening plants in Lishuicity residence community. 119 kinds of which are woodly plants,covering 82.1%,and 84 kinds of which are indigenous pants ,covering 57.9%.Next,the number of greening plants in Lishui city residence community covers those of Lishui Baiyun Mountain 85.71%, 28.27% and 17.45% in family ,genus and kind. plants diversity in housing area is obviously lower,and indigenous plants are less.The plants grown in subtropical zone are more, while those in temperate zone is less .Then, the community structure has some basic features , and they are as follows. Tree Layer mainly consists of Sweet Osmanthus Flower and camphorwood. Juniperus chinensis L.ver Kaizuka Hort. ex Endl and camellia take the most of the lower layer. Hedge and ground cover shrub takes Loropetalum chinense (R. Br.) Oliver var. rubrum Yieh and Euonymus japonicus Thunb. var. albo-marginatus Hort the most . Herb and lawn plant takes zoysia and Dwarf Lilyturf Tuber the most.Finally, small trees and shrub layer have higher index in species richness(SP),Simpson (D), Shannon-Wiener(H) and Evenness (J_H). Tree layer, hedge, ground cover and shrub is less higher , herb and lawn plant is relatively lower. The Simpson (D) index of the residence community with more green space functional blocks is higher , and that of residence community built earlier.Comparison through managed cost,ornamntal value,and ecological benefit,the advantages of forest are far beyond that of lawn in the city residence community green space.After the aggregate analysis, the suggestions are given.Ecological suitability of landscape plants should be fullly understood, planting arrangement must be reasonable in the city residence community green space.Promote domestication and research of indigenous woody plants, and develop its resourse.Increase the kinds of indigenous woody plants in the city residence community green space,and try to make the ecosystem of the city green space as the same as the local mountain area.Considering the functional block of wetlands and waterscape, we should try to make it a model with ecosystem diversity and multifuntional arrangement of more than 50 kinds in total.The kinds of woody plants need over 15, small trees and shrubs more than 18 , hedge and ground cover plants over 10, herb and lawn plants over 8.A model with trees ,shrubs and herbs reasonable distribution need be taken on the base of increasing greening rate in city residence community green space construction in Lishui.
