Many rivers in the North China and northwest China have the characteristics of high sediment concentration and the sediment particle diameter is very small. It is very difficult to remove the fine sand whose diameter are smaller than 0.03mm and quality occupies 40% of the total quality. The"Turbid Water Hydraulic Separator Device"only depends on the incoming flow self-contained energy under dynamic conditions to separate water and sediment well from turbid water under the conditions that no any chemical medicament or external energy is added or provided. The device can be applied in the running water factory to pretreat the turbid water, and also provide good source of water for the advanced water conservation technology such as spray and drip irrigation.In this paper, physical model experiment studies and theoretical analysis are used to research the following topics:â‘ The main factors influencing on the water-sediment separation efficiency of the device;â‘¡The ascending-descending rule of the interface between clean water and turbid water in the device;â‘¢The water-sediment separation mechanism in the device;â‘£The calculation formula of clean water discharge from the device.Through the further research on the topic, the achievements were obtained as follows:â‘ T he main factors influencing on the water-sediment separation performance of the device have been found out.â‘¡T he ascending-descending rule of the interface between clean water and turbid water was found out and its influence on the clean water discharge have been concluded.â‘¢The mechanism of water-sediment separation by the device have been further discussed.â‘£The calculation formula of clean water discharge of device has been obtained.Its findings can provide the theory basis for popularization and application of the"turbid water hydraulic power separation device".
