S.esculenta collected from Rizhao Lanshan were regarded as researchful object in this paper, we observe the S.esculenta reproduction behaviour in artificial environment; measure the growth of young S.esculenta, study on the differences of young S.escul- ent feeding behaviour in different condition; invent ALC marking method of S.esculenta, by experimental biology, physiology and the foundation of behavior model. The most results are summarized as follow:1. Studies on the reproduction habit of golden cuttlefish Sepia esculentaS.esculenta collected from Rizhao Lanshan were regarded as researchful object in this paper, the matching and spawning behaviour of mature S.esculenta were observed in breeding pond, the effect of different spawning substrate were studied, the relationship between the mantle length and body weight of S.esculenta and the number of pregnant eggs was analyzed, the spawning rhythm of mature S.esculenta was founded. The investigation results showed that the courtship behaviour, chasing behaviour, matching behaviour, spawning behaviour were obviously observed; there were significantly differences between different spawning substrate, the number of eggs on fishing net substrate and Tamarix chinensis substrate is more zhan Kochia scoparia substrate; there were no founction relation between the fecundity and he mantle length and body weight of S.esculenta, the fecundity was mostly between 500 and 1500, and the average was 1114; the spawning time was very disciplinarian and mostly between 21:00 and the next day 03:00.2. Studies on the growth of young golden cuttlefish Sepia esculentaS.esculenta collected from Rizhao Lanshan were regarded as researchful object in this paper, the oosperms of natural collection and manul collection were hatched under the artificial condition, the young S.esculenta were reared with foods enough, the developmental characteristic of S.esculenta was studied and the relation between age and developmental parametey was analyzed. The investigation results showed that the temperature significantly affected the oosperm hatching time; the oosperm hatching index was not significantly affected by temperature, but significantly affected by salinity; the survival rate of S.esculenta was 81.4% in small water, and 100% in big water; the autotomy was not appearance when the foods were eough, the size of S.esculenta was in order and the density of S.esculenta was low; all the biological index (DML, ML, MW, L, CW, l, SN)of S.esculenta was looked on as the age marker; the relation between the age and all the biological index (SW, M', L', Li)of S.esculenta was very close and r2 was near to 1; the relation between age and all of the developmental parameter was not very close.3. Effects of different environmental factors on feeding behavior of juvenile golden cuttlefish Sepia esculentaThis paper investigated the effects of substrate(glass substrate, sand substrate), visual angle( frontage, above, below) on feeding behavior of S.esculenta. The results in the present study indicated that substrate significantly affected the feeding behavior of Sepia esculenta, and covert behavior could easily be seen in the process of S.esculenta's feeding behavior in sand substrate. There were no significant differences between 250lx and 0.1lx; the chance of successfully preying the shrimp which is above the view is about 20% lower than other bearings; the reaction distance of S.esculenta ( doral mantle length, DML (43mm,48mm,56mm)) is 130.0cm,135.5cm,143.1cm respectively in 250lx;and 115.0cm,120.6cm,126.3cm in 0.1lx.4. A marking method of golden cuttlefish Sepia esculentaS.esculenta were regarded as tagged object in this experiment, their cuttlebone were tagged with fluorescent dye—Alizarin Complexone(ALC),and then the tagged S.esculenta were put into 1.5m×1.5m×1.5m concrete pond for 30d, subsequently were put into 4 units of area natural dust pond for 60d, and then were returned to house. This experiment experienced 210 days, in the process of breeding, some samples were collected in order to examine the cuttlebone fading situation. The results show that this marking method of S.esculenta is very successful, in that it is easy to operat and discriminate, no poison, no side effect, and a lot of samples could be tagged at one time, the retainable ration of tagging colour is high and the retainable time is long. This technology is applied to S.esculenta in the world for the first time, and it also makes for the scarcity of other tagging methods.
