This thesis does a lot of research in the current status of domestic fast-growing and high-yield poplar plantations cultivation. The research shows that the existing knowledge of fast-growing and high-yield poplar plantations cultivation is scattered, thus badly influence majority of production and management units and farmers when they come to grasping the relative information and making cultivation decision policy. This thesis proposes a blue print of the system structure using the fuzzy expert system programming tools, collecting and arranging a massive of scattered knowledge of fast-growing and high-yield poplar plantations cultivation to form knowledge structure. An expert system knowledge base with the core of fast-growing and high-yield poplar plantations cultivation knowledge is established; also the method of fuzzy matching of fast-growing and high-yield poplar plantations cultivation knowledge is proposed; with a case study of Hebei provice Wenan county, a expert system of fast-growing and high-yield poplar plantations cultivation based on FuzzyCLIPS and MapX is developed.This fast-growing and high-yield poplar plantations cultivation expert system is suitable to the current occasion of poplar knowledge conditions. This system provides a variety of production decision service for poplar producers. Also this system provides a complete set of extensible platform of knowledge of fast-growing and high-yield poplar plantations cultivation for poplar expert. It has practical significance and reference value to perfect information level of fast-growing and high-yield poplar plantations cultivation.
