With people's increasing demand for living,wooden decorated structural material will be one of wood composite research directions in several decades.However,in a long period our country not only will face the embarrassment of short of timber provided,but also will be confronted with problem of constructional match due to serious lack of big-diameter-class and precious,natural timber.As one of the most important plantation wood species in China,Poplar has been widely used in Wood based panels industry.Many problems occur during processing and utilizing due to poplar's characteristic properties and defects,which affect its value in use.Since poplar has unclear grain,monotonous color and large parts of 'wet heartwood',it's an important way to improve the dollar value of poplar wood resources by applying imitation technology to produce decorative veneers similar to natural rare wood species.It was the first time among domestic researches that small diameter log of Populus tomentosa dyed with stumpage dyeing method was studied.Acid Gold Yellow G and Basic turquoise BB to its optimum dyeing process were Investigated;The material of transpiration was measured on the trial period;We analyzed the influence of each factor on transpiration,the relations between transpiration and the height of the dye rise,dye uptake,chromatism were studied,and two dyestuffs' penetration discipline in wood.The results are as follows:1,Using dyestuff such as Acid Gold Yellow G,the result showed that:the best dye concentration was 0.3%,the most suitable treating time was 4 days,and the best surface-active agent concentration was 0.05%,the best pH was 5.2.2,By Basic turquoise BB dyeing,the result showed that:the best concentration was 0.2%, the most suitable treating time was 6 days,and the best concentration was 0.03%.the best pH should between 4.2 and 5.2.3,While using two kinds of dyestuffs dye respectively,each influence factor to the transpiration is different.4,Unitary linear regression method shows that the transpiration have distinct correlativity with the height of the dye rise,dye uptake,chromatism.5,The material exists a common phenomenon on the radius:The dyeing effectiveness of sapwood was obviously better than that of heartwood;in the same annual ring,the dyeing effectiveness of earlywood was better than that of latetwood,the dyeing depth become gradually shallow from earlywood to latetwood,the color of the annual rings is the deepest.6,Using dyestuff such as Acid Gold Yellow G,,the chromatism decrease gradually with the increase of dyeing height,both the a* and b* decrease gradually too,but the L* value increase gradually;the dyeing height is generally above 3m.7,By Basic turquoise BB dyeing,the chromatism decrease gradually with the increase of dyeing height,but the L* value increase gradually,and both the a* and b* increase gradually too,but the dyeing height is generally around 2m.
