The hazel is a kind of fine nut fruit tree as well as an important arboreal oil tree. It has been to one of the four big nut tree seeds now which inferior to almond. In order to accelerate the fine clones to selected and promoted of Corylus heterophylla×Corylus avellana in Xinjiang. Unifies the field investigation and laboratory test were used in this research, to investigate and study on blossoms and bearing fruit characteristic, growth adaptability and chill-resistance of Corylus heterophylla×Corylus avellana. The conclusions were followed:(1)The results showed that:①In Yili river valley pilot, it begined its anthesis in mid-March, which continued about 20d. Most of female clones flower were later 1-6d than male when full bloom.②North Tianshan slope-Manas pilot flowering is later around 10d than Yili pilot, and the flowering also short 5d. Different bearing habit in different clones, in which the 26# clone has early bearing habit.(2) The results showed that:①The growth of Hazel clones in different hybrid were different at the same local conditions. The 26# clones had the widespread compatibility in different local conditions of Yili river valley area.②In the same local condition, different clones has different growth. The 15# and 26# clones are higher than other with growth adaptability ability in soilsalinization.(3)In order to konw the physiological reaction of chill-resistance of hybrid hazel, different chill-resistance of hazel clones was studied. The results showed that:①With the lower temperature, the relative conductivity of the clones showed "S" curve, the chill-resistant strong clone was in the lowest state all the time.②The soluble protein content increased as the temperature droping.③Soluble sugar content and low temperature positively had correlation, the cold resistant ability strong clones soluble sugar content was higher than the low one④The MDA content increased as the temperature droping. Under -40℃cold stress condition, it showed: 7# > 20#> 8#.(4)The results showed that:①The various species of hybrid hazel frozen in the field were different and the cold index was between 25-77.5%.②The results of comprehensive indicators of chill-resistance were: 8#, 26# and 10# had the strongest cold resistant ability; 5#, 2# and 20# had the medium cold resistant ability; 22# and 7# had the weakest cold resistant ability.
