Twenty-two strains of pathogenic fungi were isolated from the decayed and non-symptom seeds of Chinese chestnut in Huairou, Beijing, China. Sixteen strains were identified and fell into 11 genera. Among the pathogens,Alternaria, Trichothecium,Fusicoccum and Fusarium had higher isolating rate than others. The inoculation tests showed pathogens could easily infect the injured seeds of Chinese chestnut and the incidence of a disease inoculated the flesh was higher than another way of inoculating non-injured seeds of chestnut. The changes of the portion of physiological and biochemical were studied. It was found that there were exist significant relativity among water contents, starch contents, soluble saccharides contents and disease incidence. the activation of CAT, POD,PPO and PAL and chestnut rot established a reciprocal relationship. Disease incidence existed some extent relativity with phenolic compounds ,but did not with The contents of protein and tannin.Through experiment antiseptic and fresh-keeping for two years on growing period and storage of Chinese chestnut ,the result indicated control efficiency of biocontrol bacterial strain BJ-6 was higher than any other control methods and reached 47.6% ,But physical control with bag on chestnut seeds and integrated pest management had not control efficiency in chestnut growing with different treatments. Through storage tests on the storaged chestnut seeds with different treatments, the control efficiency by setting on low-temperature(4℃)storage of chestnut seeds with the antiseptic treatments was better than other antiseptic methods, and control efficiency of BJ-6 was the most one and reached 55.5%. Chemical germicide(Baijunqing)as CK,inhibitory activity of biocontrol bacterial strain BJ-6 against 4 predominant fungi showed inhibitory activity of strain BJ-6 was better than those of Baijunqing. Biocontrol bacterial strain BJ-6 instead of chemical germicide control Chinese chestnut rot and arrive good effect.
