The Research On The Forest Dependence Level Evaluation Of The Community On The Edge Of Forest

As the dominant land ecosystem in the world, forest ecosystem is the foundation for human being to survive and develop. The nature reserve of forest ecosystem, which was used for protecting biodiversity and rare species on site, have been facing with various threats that come from forest dependence on which the local residents living and production and so on brought in nature reserve. The contradiction during the protection, dependence and exploitation has great influence on sustainable development of forest nature reserve. Therefore, we must weigh the residents' forest dependence level objectively and accurately in nature reserve to appraise the performance of the nature conservation and sustainable development. Taking Fanjing Mountain national nature reserve of Guizhou province as an example, to evaluate the forest dependence level of community on the edge of forest community, and solve the contradiction between forest protection and economic development at some extent, thus the research have demonstrating meanings.Firstly, the forest dependence level was defined in the text as forest contribute rate to the community on the edge of forest at economy, society and ecology. On the basis of forefathers' study, according to the definition of forest dependence level and certain principle, a set of assessing index system of forest dependence level was designed, and 20 relevant indexes and corresponding measuring formulae have been put forward.Secondly, according . to the assessing index system, the research evaluated the forest dependence level of community on the edge of forest in the Fanjing Mountain national nature reserve, and analyzed twenty assessing indexes completely and calculated corresponding indexes value, and adopted AHP to confirm the weight of every index. It was drawn that the comprehensive value of the forest dependence level of the community on the edge of forest in the Fanjing Mountain national nature reserve is 52.2%. Besides, the relevant statistical analysis was carried out to analyze the influence factors for the forest dependence level. The result indicates that geographical position, average income, traditional custom and punishment of hewer have great influence on the several aspects of forest dependence level.Finally, on the basis of other studies.for forest carrying capacity (FCC), the paper designs a simple appraising index system of FCC to appraise the comprehensive FCC index of Fanjing Mountain national nature reserve, which is 73%. It wascalculated that the suitable economic dependence level of Fanjing Mountain national nature reserve is 37. 8%. According to the suitable economic dependence level and the comprehensive FCC index, it was identified exploringly that the suitable range of the forest dependence level is 30%—40%.The result indicates that the forest dependence level of the community on the edge of forest which is 52. 2% has exceeded in the suitable range of the forest dependence level which is 30%~ 40% in the Fanjing Mountain national nature reserve. As a result of these evaluating and analysis, seven suggestions such as developing ecotourism and establishing mechanism of ecological compensation and so on were put forward to reduce the forest dependence level of community on the edge of forest and to promote sustainable development of Fanjing Mountain national nature reserve.
