Porcine respiratory disease complex (PRDC) is a kind of complicated disease, whichcaused great loss to the worldwide pig industry. PRDC is difficult to prevent and control.nowadays, it is a main problem in pig industry with its incidence 30—80%andmortality 5—30%or above. PRDC can occur in all stage pigs (including sows; piglets;nursery pigs; commercial pigs) in different management and facility farms, even inintensive pig farms. PRDC is a kind of multifactorial disease because many pathogenscould be detected in typical cases. Frequent pathogens include PRRSV, MH, PCV2,CSFV, PRV, APP, PM and HP. Typical signs of PRDC include body temperature rising, cough, dyspnea, low feed effect and low growth rate, which finally caused low growthperformance and high death rate.In order to ascertain main pathogens of PRDC and provide scientific preventive andcontrol methods, the research was carried out. Total 420 serum samples from twentyintensive pig farms were tested in different districts in Hainan province. The resultsshowed that PRDC was very common in pig farms, but infected rate different. PRRSVpositive rate was 33.1%(139/420), CSFV is 2.7%(11/420), PCV2 is 90.5%(380/420),PRV is 6.2%(26/420), MH is 34.8%(146/420), APP is 72.7%(305/420). In sow herd,PRRSV positive rate is 40%(120/300), CSFV is 3%(9/300), PCV2 is 95%(285/300),PRV is 5.3%(16/300), MH is 43.4%(130/300), APP is 80%(240/300). In grower herd,PRRSV positive rate is 30%(12/40), CSFV is 0(0/40), PCV2 is 90%(36/40), PRV is15%(6/40), MH is 30%(12/40), APP is 75%(30/40). In nursery herd, PRRSV positiverate is 8.8%(7/80), CSFV is 2.5%(2/80), PCV2 is 73.8%(59/80), PRV is 5%(4/80), MHis 5%(4/80), APP is 43.8%(35/80).
