Chronic Respiratory Disease(CRD)was the one of common, diseases in domestic cultivate occupation. The death rate was low, but CRD could bring out complicating disease and deuteropathy. The route of transmission was diverse and propagation velocity was fast. Resistance emerged acutely after using generous antibiotics. So CRD was difficult to be controlled. In traditional Chinese medicin of veterinarian, CRD's differentiation of symptoms and signs were pattern of exuberant heat with lung and stomach, phlegm-turbidity obstruction of lung. We could treat it in clearing lung fire, nourish stomach-Yin."Bai Hu Tang"was the representative prescription of cooling qifen. The experiment researched the mechanism of pharmacodynamic action in using"Bai Hu Tang"to treat CRD.Purposes:1. Studying the pharmacodynamic action in using"Bai Hu Tang"to treat CRD.2. Studying the mechanism in"Bai Hu Tang"treating CRD.Methods:1.Antimicrobial experiment of"Bai Hu Tang"was taken by using two times echelon diluting method, and detecting the minimal inhibitory concentration(MIC) of Mycoplasma gallisepticum(MG).(2) After 48 hours of vegetation on MIC and Sub-MIC(Subminimal Inhibitory Concentration,Sub-MIC),to observe Mycoplasma gallisepticum-PG31's(MGPG31) morphology and ultrastructure under electronmicroscope.2. The effect of"Bai Hu Tang"in free radical: 2-weeks-old AiWeiyin chickens(n=180) were randomly divided into six groups, which were healthy control group(A), pathological control group(B),"Bai Hu Tang"HDG(high dose group, HDG)(C);"Bai Hu Tang"MDG(middle dose group, MDG)(D);"Bai Hu Tang"LDG(low dose group, LDG)(E) and Enronfloxacin control group(F). After vaccinating MGPG31 one week, antibody of MG was masc, and emerged symptom in respiratory passage. Dose them once a day and keep on 5 days as well as collect the blood in 0h,2h,4h,8h,12h after dosing per day, A,B group marching simultaneously, detect ing the dynamic state of SOD and MDA in the blood plasm.3. The influence of expressing SP-A: Observed the dynamic state of the expression of SP-A, taking the lung tissue in bottom left location and staining through the method of immunity and histochemistry 12h after dosing each day.Results:1. Antimicrobial experiment of"Bai Hu Tang": MIC1,MIC2, Sub-MIC were 0.047g/mL, 0.094g/mL,0.024g/mL. Its arch-influence was effecting on the idiophase of MG. Changing the permeability and morphous of cell envelope, then inhibiting vegetation of MG.2. The effect of"Bai Hu Tang"in free radical: B group: Contrasting with the healthy control group, SOD decreased and MDA increased to last, showed a significant difference with the A group. Treating group(C,D,Egroup): SOD increased and MDA decreased to last, showed a significant difference with the B group. SOD and MDA of the F group got close to the A group showly. These resultes showed"Bai Hu Tang"could increase organism's ability to remove free radial and protect cellular membrane.3. The influence of expressing SP-A: the A group showed positive reaction; pathological group after eight days, the positive cell decreased, cellula epithelialis ablated, lung framework fibrosis. At 12 day there was none positive reaction. Treated three days, in the C group SP-A positive cell increased, and showed better masc; in the D group, SP-A positive cell increased and showed weakly positive. Treated four days: in the E and F group, SP-A positive reaction increased.Conclusions:1."Bai Hu Tang"effected on the idiophase of M.gallinaceum. Changing the permeability and morphous of cell envelope, then inhibiting vegetation of M.gallinaceum.2."Bai Hu Tang"could increase organism's ability to remove free radial and protect cell and reinforce SP-A expressed.
