We focus most of our efforts on the studying of investigating in provenance selection, genealogy-test and clone test of Acacia crassicarpa A.Cunn.Ex Benth. We had set up a seed nursery and analysed the quality of the seed after the finishing of our studying. The result showed that significant difference was found between provenance and families for both seedlings height and base diameter. The variation of families is 4.5~15 times to provenance. The variation is not of significant difference in clones from same family, so more attentions should be paid on the extent of provenance. Seedlings height, base diameter, volume, branch character have significant positive relativity. The genetic correlation is higher than the bio-correlation significantly of all characteristics. Our selection of characteristics should carry out in branches and base diameter mainly based on the heritability of provenance, family and individuals. The species(16602,16986,16353) from the western of Papua New Guinea are all show better volume as well as branches, the variation between the offspring and patents are 0.0124,0.0310 respectively. The species of NG15646,PNG15647,PNG16598shown a better appearance well, with exception for branching. The variation of tree volume and branching was not significantly; the species of QLD16128,PNG17548and17552appear the branching well but growing, the family of QLD16755had a spaced variation in tree volume, the family of PNG16597exist variation extremely in tree volume as well as branching, thus there is spaced room for us to make good use of that. The method of weight-seletion and combine variation was used to value these family, these families shown significantly in growing and branching, they are as follows: 84,30,27,47,18,10,99,13,57,17, the average base diameter, height, volume and branching are 10.10cm,8.21m,0.024m~3 and 0.8692respectively, comparing with the family total average, the true gain we harvested are 8.7%,8.2%,27.5%,1.3% respectively, our anticipated breeding benefit are 4.6%,3.7%,14.8%,0.77% respectively. There is no significant difference among the truck and branching of 49 crassicarpa A.Cunn.Ex Benth families, after the selection, we got a beautiful improvement. There is a significant variation in growing of clones, the final appearance are better than selection before extremely. Use the volume much more than the average 25% and growing mass level at 22.5m~3/ha as the standard, we got 8 crassicarpa A.Cunn.Ex Benth families: 90,32,41,12,101,54,and 35. Use the studying as a principle, we improved the provenances, families, clones to 35ha. crassicarpa A.Cunn.Ex Benth nursery. In 2000, had got the developing period, the highest average harvesting of individual is 1720g, the average harvesting of individual is 485.62g, the generate ratio is 60.8%, the shape of seed is small but higher quality. Extensive this mechanism, in 2004, the growing space of crassicarpa A. Cunn.Ex Benth are 36500ha., Guangdong 1800ha., Guangxi 1000ha., Fujian 8000ha., Yunnan 500ha.. The investigation on 2 years old seedling indicated, the average height of selected seed is 5.4m, the average base diameter is 5.2cm, the growing gain on the level of 10%(compare with the introducing of)from the private nursery; the average height of selected seed 6.2m, the average base diameter is 5.8m, the growing gain on the level of 15%(compare with the improved provenance nursery)from the family nursery; the average height of selected seed is 7.3m, he average base diameter is 6.8m, the growing gain on the level of 18%(compare with the improved family nursery). From 2005, crassicarpa A. Cunn. Ex Benth nursery had gone into the developing period, we forecast that the plantation will extend 20~30 thousands year by year in the southern of China, and there will be a beautiful future in finery seed extending.
