In the study, the allelopathy between the extract of the fresh root(extract of root and rhizosphere)in west celerly and cucumber is researched by the changes of plant index of cucumber and the susceptive index of cucumber Fusarium wilt. Cucumber seedlings were treated with the extract of the fresh root in west celery by root-drench method , at the stage of first euphylla (the area of leaf reached 4㎝×4㎝)and following the third and fifth day. The plant height, stem width and the width and length of max leaves were measured at the fifth, tenth and eighteenth days after the third treatment, and after the last measure all plants were inoculated by Fusarium oxysporiumf.sp.cucumerinum by 30 ml at the concentration of 4.0×106, the result are:1. The aqueous extract from west celery root inhibites the plant height; the stem width and area of max leaf are increased after treated by the enthol extract of root; As the concentration of aqueous extract of the fresh root increaseing, the stimulative allelopathic effect on stem width and max leaf area tures to prohibitive effect gradually, otherwise the prohibitive effect on plant hight increases.2. the aqueous extract from west celery rhizosphere had strong allelopathy on the plant hight and the area of max leaf which are inhibited; otherwise the stem width promots;with the increasing of the concentration of the rhizosphere extract, the allelopathic effect on stem width increase. Along with prolongation of the treated time the allelopathic affect weaks in all treatments.3. The aqueous extract of root has allelopathy on cucumber Fusarium wilt. The aqueous extract of the fresh root in west celery at the concentration of 25%, 18.75% and 10% restrained cucumber Fusarium wilt, and their allelopathic effects were -0.145, -0.109 and -0.0909 respectively. The enthol extract in root has a stong prohibitive allelopathy, using the water as control, the allelopathic effect is -0.0909; using the enthol as control the allelopathic effect is -0.123.
